Hello everyone,

I am extremely pleased to have found this board. I am an avid fan of the show and would really love to see new episodes and new cases profiled. For the first time, I am not positive, but I might have a lead on the story I mentioned.

I don't know if anyone remembers the information or knows where I may be able to find case details, such as the composite sketch of the suspect.

The details of the case that I remember are as follows:

- young woman, possibly a mother of two, owner of a beauty salon in south carolina was murdered there while cleaning and closing. I cannot remember if she was raped.
- I believe one more person may have also been present and murdered at that time.
- one witness, a middle-aged black woman, who saw the suspect running away and was able to provide the details for the composite.
- I believe the murder happened in the early-to-mid-80's.

I can't remember a great deal of the story except that the composite sketch was a dead ringer for a former friend of mine. I saw the episode while studying for law school exams, so the main details, such as the victim's name, are things I can't remember. My friend would have been around the right age of the suspect at the time, and he was in South Carolina around the time of the murder. He also left abruptly, under sketchy circumstances that he will not discuss.

I really need to see the composite again. I understand that even if I give this tip to the police, I will not be involved, however, if my friend is innocent, I do not wish to create a hassle for him. It would put my mind at ease to see the sketch and/or details of the case again so that I can be sure that I am doing the right thing. I contacted UM through email and have yet to hear back from them. Hopefully you guys will be able to help.

Hi! The woman's name that was murdered was Dana Satterfield. The lady that came face to face with the killer was a door to door saleslady that had earlier sold Dana something. The saleslady was out by the road waiting for a ride when she saw the man. Also a man that was a customer of Dana's saw a man as he drove by that night also but I don't know if he got a very good look at him.

Hello, and thanks, crystaldawn!! I will email you ASAP. I found a good deal of info on the victim, but I still cannot find the composite of the suspect. A copy of the tape would be fantastic.

Her name was Dana Chyleen Fowler Satterfield, from Roebuck, South Carolina, died on July 31, 1995. Wife of Mike Satterfield.

He didn't get a good look at the suspect, but he did see the suspect's vehicle.
