kesley grammer, who does the voice of Sideshow Bob on The Simpsons, was the only Cheers cast member (of those who were present) to not say anything in that episode - even though Frasier was sitting there at the bar.

The other day, I was imagining what a real Cheers/Simpsons crossover would be like. This is my vision:

*Frasier and Lilith would be at psychology conference in Springfield and Homer and Marge would ask them to help Bart. They would, of course, fail.
*Norm and Homer would have a beer drinking contest.
*Lisa would meet Diane at a book signing of Diane's novel - of which Lisa would be very critical.
*Monty Burns would fall in love with Rebecca - and Rebecca, with his money.
*Apu would hire Carla as a temporary nanny to discipline his octuplets.
*Cliff would be appalled by the postal service in Springfield and would try to take over.
*Sam would hit on Marge, who would lie about her marriage after a fight with Homer.

[Homer stumbles into a familiar bar.]

Homer: Ooh, this looks like a nice friendly place.
Carla: Sammy, you're too old to go on a date with two twins on the same night you're supposed to marry Diane without Rebecca knowing.
Sam: OK, Carla, I'll make you a bet: if this affects my major league comeback, I'll sell my bar.
Norm: Woody...gimme a beer.
Woody: I think you've had enough, Mr. Peterson. My chiropractor says I can't carry you home anymore.
Norm: Just gimme another beer, you brain-dead hick! [grabs wine bottle, smashes it, holds it by the neck] I'll kill you! I'll kill all of you!
Cliff: [restraining him] Whoa, settle down, Normy. Gotta save those pipes for karaoke.
Homer: [gasps] Whoa! [runs out]
Norm: I love you guys... [weeps]

I've seen that ep. It's great. To be made fun of by the simpsons in an honor.

Oddly enough, Kelsey didn't lend his voice to the episode. Probably because he sounds eerily similar to Sideshow Bob. ;)

The Simpsons Cliff looks nothing like the real-life Cliff. And I can't see Norm's face.

Altho they did a great job on Carla, Sam and Woody.

I thought Cliff looked alright....
but Norm, no.

Maybe it'll all click when I hear the voices.
But it seems like I wont be able to watch it until The Simpsons - Season 6 comes out.... which looks like will happen in about 20 months.

Best-ever:

When the weight of the world has got you down and you want to end your life.
Bills to pay, dead end job and problems with your wife.
Don't throw in the towel cuz there's a place right down the block; where you can drink your misery away.

at Flaming Moe's (let's all go to Flaming Moe's) where liquor in a mug, can warm you like a hug.
Happiness is just a flaming moe away!
Happiness is just a flaming moe away!

Crowd: Barney!
Woody: How's the world treating you, Mr. Gumbel?
Barney: Barrrrp!
