I was only a little fella when the original end credits were used on the tv episodes but I think I would have remembered if Wilma had a mouth or not. Can anyone recall if in fact her mouth was never drawn in as is the case with the current DVD set.

The opening credits on the dvd are the original opening credits as designed for the show's first two seasons...but, you'll notice, the same people are listed, whether they worked on that episode or not. It's a ''generic'' opening, as the REAL openings had all those sponsor tags and the like (and were probably only filmed in B&W)
If you want to see what these really looked like, go to Toontracker.com and hit the appropriate links...where you'll see that Wilma did, indeed, have a mouth in the closing credits.:)
Thanks for the info. I was actually referring to the scene where Fred covers the bird up and Wilma is seen sleeping in bed. The toontracker clip has the cigarette sign in place of this. Or is there another closing credit clip I missed?

There's a couple of clips...one with the commercials, one that shows Fred covering the giant bird...and that's the one where Wilma has a mouth. (I think it's in the "RealMedia" page with the other cartoon opening and closing credits...I'll go check to make suire and get back to you!)

Apologies for a yerar late ( :D ) reply but, not only (as W.J.Griffin rightfully noites) the DVD credits are generic..SO WERE THE ENTIRE 1966-1994 credits for ANY pre-INIVISBLE BARNEY( where you'll for ocne notice ealry HB and ealrier raido voice, and ANDY RGIFFITH star, Howard Mcnear,on the credits, for one)
They were constantly changed in reruns over the years in the 1990s, especially so that you'd see a couple of season-specific stock credits (like taken from the GREAT GAZOO, SWEDISH VISITORS,etc.)
It's really a mess.
