I remember one episode of Growing Pains in which Boner Stabone, Mike's longlife buddy, was going to join the Marines and was never seen again afterwards. A good spinoff would focus on Boner's life as a Gomer Pyle type in the Marines with a sergeant as another main character. It would have been a good idea to have another Gomer Pyle type sitcom.

Any ideas of a good Growing Pains spinoff that might have been?

wasn't JUST THE TEN OF US an unofficial spin off? It was about that coach that had like 7 or 8 kids that had to move to California after Mike and Carol got him fired unintentionally.

What do you mean unofficially? It was intended to be a spin-off off of Growing Pains. But yes, it was a spin-off. ;) But the person is asking what else could have been a spin-off.
