Everyone know what I'm talking about? I believe she wore it in the first episode, and a few AITF eps as well. And if memory serves me, Edith Bunker had an almost identical dress...sort of dark and light green stripe, and button down...really plain and simple...

My reason for posting is that I liked both of them in the dress, wondered if anyone else did, and if anyone knows...the first and last times she/they wore it, and in what episodes she wore it...thanks!

The first time Louise wore that dress was in the All in the Family episode-"Pay the Twenty Dollars" which aired in the Spring of 1974 and the last time she wore the dress was in the first episode of the Jeffersons-"A Friend in Need" aired on Jan 18, 1975.

I never followed closely enough to know the history of the character's costumes, but Louise's outfits were much simpler from 1971-75. When she began wearing wigs in year 2 her outfits got more nouveau rich. There's an episode in year 6 where they flash back to 1968 and she has her old look, bun hairdo and very simple house dress.

I guess since I watched All in the Family just as much as the Jffersons, i was able to notice the dress she wore in the first episode was a dress I seen her wear on AITF

The dress was okay...I think Florence even had dresses similar to that.

Does anyone remember Edith in that dress though? I am pretty sure she had one that was almost identical, and wore it one of the 1st season AITF episodes...

I wouldn't remember because i didn't pay much attention to Edith on All in The Family.
