Angie She was a complete airhead bimbo, with very long, blonde hair; that was considered to be the "female " Sweathog, but she did not have many lines on the show, due to the fact, that she was a terrible actress, and was basically hired for superficial reasons...

Beau He basically showed up during the Fourth and Last Season of the show; probably a replacement for John Travolta (What a Joke)

If you ask me, they had to've been smoking something when they decided to replace him. There is no way you could get away with that.

She was in a few episodes from the 3rd season of Welcome Back, Kotter; I do not understand why they list her as a main character, when she did not appear in a lot of episodes, and also she did not have a lot of dialogue, but she was like the female version of Beau; too bad those two did not get together, because they would had made a really cute couple...

Angie, the first "female sweathog" was a mistake, and she was quickly forgotten after only a few episodes. I actually remember all the hoopla surrounding that event, and I also remember she quickkly vanished soon after.

As for who was the worst addition, both Beau and Angie were lame.

The show had run its course; both John Travolta and Gabe Kaplan stopped showing up in various episodes, so the ensemble was broken up.

It's really hard to have "Welcome Back Kotter" when Kotter was absent from class.

Hi everyone.
Robert Hegyes talks about the female sweathogs on his website.

female sweathogs and why they did not last (http://www.roberthegyes.com/kotter7.html)

Beau really didn't fit in with those guys. They come from two very different backgrounds, even though they accepted him as a sweathog. I really couldn't.

Beau, no doubt. Angie kinda reminds you of Amy from the A Teams early years.

I go with Beau. he was a Vinnie wannabe.

he was trying to be much like Vinne.

There can be only ONE VINNIE and that's John Travolta!

I admit, I'm enjoying the fourth season episodes.

Angie wasn't really in that many episodes, but she was cool. I like Beau and Mary Johnson. Didn't find them annoying. It was interesting to see Beau and Barbarino meet face to face for the first time. They got along afterwords.

I pick Angie over Beau any day. Angie was funny when she clashed with the sweathogs. I never found Beau funny at all.

Never mind, I got this Angie mixed up with the other angie I think her name was. Anyway she hated the Sweathogs. I don't remember this Angie.

Angie was the worst character. The actress who played her sounded like she was reciting lines of dialogue...badly. That's not Melonie Haller's fault -- it was the producers for hiring her. And it's pretty obvious why they cast her.

As for Beau, he was unnecessary. There were a couple of third season episodes where Barbarino (Travolta) was absent and Hegyes, Jacobs, and Palillo were okay as a trio. Obviously, it was better when the four originals were together, but they held their own without Travolta.

Beau was also too handsome and slick to be a Sweathog. And in the episodes where Travolta appeared, he was a fifth wheel.

I have nothing against Stephen Shortridge as an actor -- he just did what he was hired to do. My guess is that with Travolta only appearing in a handful of episodes, they felt they needed a fourth Sweathog. Mistake, IMO.

He was severely out of place and didn't fit in with the Sweathogs at all. His character addition was a really bad idea looking back on it. Both were not good casting additions but Beau was worst to me because he was one of the main cast.

Yeah Arnolds girlfriend

What a dating history they had -- first time, Mary was threatening to jump off the ledge and kill herself.

Second time, a drunken Arnold punches her out at the prom.

Third date, they get married.

A match made in heaven.
