Bianca 06-11-2004, 10:56 PM I think it was... I think i heard them talk about it on the 'Brady bunch exposed' documantary. it had a lot to do with it. TV Guy 06-11-2004, 11:50 PM Actually, Sherwood Schwartz wrote the pilot script several years before that movie came out. That script, coincidentally, was originally called "Yours & Mine". When ABC finally ordered the script to be filmed in late 1968, the producers of "Yours, Mine, & Ours" threatened to sue, until Sherwood was able to prove that his script predated their movie by several years. However, the success of the movie did influence ABC to order the pilot. scott_bolger2001 01-25-2006, 11:28 PM I just recently saw the movie, and you've got to admit there are alot of uncanny resemblances, the older son is even named Greg! "Yours, Mine and Ours" is one of my all time favourite Lucille Ball movies. And to find out it was the influence for one of my all time favourite shows "The Brady Bunch", is simply a thrill! :) James 01-28-2006, 04:26 AM Wouldn't it have been a "Yours, Mine, and Ours" concept had Carol had twins during the last season? Of course, we were spared that story and introduced to Cousin Oliver :D . |
