That made Vanessa look ODD. And it continued in the later seasons. Remember the basement episode? Vanessa was too damm old to be arguing with Rudy. At that time, Vanessa was 16 and Rudy was 9. I wonder was the Vanessa character supposed to be SLOW?-LOL I always thought that. She just stood out as the huxtable chld that wasn't all there mentally.

HAHA!!! Yeah I could not stand Vanessa arguing with Rudy I mean she is only a kid and Vanessa is suppose to be a mature adult.

~Some good Roseanne qoutes~

[During a tornado]
Roseanne: What's the worst that can happen? So the tornado picks up our house and slams it down in a better neighborhood.

D.J.: I haven't said anything in two days. Nobody's cared.
Roseanne: Oh, that can't be.
D.J.: Uh-huh. The last thing I said was "Cheerios".

Bev: Where do you keep your citrus fruit?
Roseanne: I think there's an orange under the dryer...

I never saw anything wrong with the siblings arguing. As far as mental problems that would be Denise hands down!!!!!

Yeah but she was really troublesome and forgetful.

I think Cosby wanted to recreate the fights between his two youngest but there was only a three year age difference there.

As for Denise not fighting with her sisters, she never fought with Rudy but she did fight with Vanessa, and there was almost a big a gap between those two as there was between Vanessa and Rudy. Remember the fight over the sweater Vanessa borrowed but didn't ask first? I thought it was hilarious that Denise, who is like half a foot shorter than Vanessa, was able to take her down.

There was not a 3 year difference between Rudy and Vanessa. It was a 7 year Difference. And Vanessa was 4 years younger than Denise so it was a little different.

And then in later episodes there were Rudy/Olivia arguments.

I meant there was a 3-year age difference between Cosby's two youngest of his ACTUAL children, Ensa and Evin, not Vanessa and Rudy.

Also, I thought when the show began, Denise was 17, Vanessa was 11 and Rudy 5.

Today I saw the Clair's 46th birthday episode, which aired in 1989. That means she was born in 1943. Theo, Vanessa and Rudy each did a "When Mom was my age" bit, and through that, it was revealed that in 1989, Theo was 18, Vanessa 15 and Rudy 9.

When you are 16, you are not supposed to fight with a brother or sister who is 9. Bottom Line

I never hear that "rule" that you're not supposed to have and arguments with siblings much younger than you! People can get on your nerves regardles of age! Except for babies they don't count!

Well duh their suppossed to be the mature one.
And 12 year difference is BIG.
Anything under 5 years is completely understandable though.

Just think of it this way...isn't it odd when Rudy calls Vanessa names like "frog face" and Vanessa calls Rudy something stupid like "pig slop" and Vanessa is too old to say stuff like that...

I don't blame Vanessa for fighting with Rudy. I am 20 and I fight with my 10 year old sister, but we are about the same height. I let my little 10 year old sister get the best of me sometimes.:o

Now that really sounds strange because you are a adult and you are supposed to be the mature one.

Are you a child psychologist? I hope so considering you're trying to dictate on what children are "supposed" to do. Only child, right?
