I will choose step by step. Better Father, the kids were better and just overall a better show.

It certainly wasn't as cheesy as The Brady Bunch.

While I do not care for shows like that, Step by Step was a lot better than the Brady Bunch. Step by Step dealt alot more with the issues that would come up when trying to stick a large family together like that.

I think Step By Step was better.

If I had to choose between the two, I would opt for The Brady Bunch. The stories were simpler, plus it was in almost the same time frame as perhaps the best show ever IMHO, The Wonder Years!

Step by STep was done a good twenty years later. Writers could say more than one could back in 1969.

Step by Step was a lot more realistic, IMHO.

My vote goes to The Brady Bunch. Even though they were cheesy, they were openly cheesy. Step by Step was the worst kind of cheesy: they often tried not to be cheesy, but they still were. Plus, I don't care for Ms. Somers. And The Brady Bunch had a much better theme song and wardrobe lol.

Brady Bunch had the better theme?

I like both shows, but The Brady Bunch gets the edge.
Because, like someone said before -- it was openly cheesy.

Step by Step was the funnier series, but sometimes it went into the "Full House mode" with all the lessons and music the background.
Whereas The Brady Bunch was campy and knew that it was stupid.

In my opinion, yes. The theme was perfect for the show - albeit annoying. The point is they never tried to be something that they weren't. Plus, the Step by Step music reminded me too much of Full House.

You are right about the lessons and music in the background. Full House and Step by Step did WAY too much of that. Whereas shows like Family Ties and Growing Pains did not.

Step by Step was great because it had Patrick Duffy in it :D

It all depends. If a good episode of the Brady Bunch was on and a bad episode of Step by Step, I'd watch the Brady Bunch, or vice versa.

If you don't have Marsha,Marsha,marsha you ain't got Jack. Brady Bunch!!!!. Besides Those Step By Step Kids can't sing like those Barady Bunch Kids.

Ok.... old topic.. but what else is new with me... I always reply to the old junk... For me, I'd pick Step by Step, although I did used to like the Brady Bunch (it was a thing my whole family watched... and my mom and stepdad annoy me by singing the theme all of the time...) But Step by Step was really what most step families are like kinda. I'm in a step family and as my mom said... in the Brady Bunch the kids mostly always got along and they never yelled at their step parents or anything... but SBS they fought with eachother which made it funnier than BB. And the BB didn't have a Cody-ish character (well... I don't think they did.... I haven't watched it in a while...)

Step by step
