In Episode #125 "I Do, I Do", in which the bottlecappers--oops, Bardwell's giftwrappers!--almost married two British rock stars (guest stars Eric Idle and Peter Noone), the group Benny and the Beefeaters was mentioned as a group that relocated to the United States after originating in Britain (probably so that the musicians could marry American women). I checked out my music almanacs (one of which details artists who only "bubbled under" the Billboard Top 100) and found no entries whatsoever for Benny and the Beefeaters.

Was there really such a group?

Probably not. The british rock stars in the episode were fictious, so I figure that other group was made up as well.
