Does anyone recall watching the segment about Oliver Munson? He mysteriously disappeared a few days before having to testify in court against the man who sold him a Datsun 250Z. The Datsun 250Z was stolen and Oliver unknowningly bought the car. Oliver was a school teacher in Baltimore Maryland, and after leaving for work one day in February 1984, he was never seen again. His car (not the Datsun) was later found abondoned several days later a few blocks away from his house. The police believe Oliver was killed so that he couldn't testify in court. I've been trying to find more information about this case online but haven't found anything, probably because the case is so old.

Yes, I recall that segment. Oliver's bagged lunch and folders were left sitting in the passenger seat of his car, which gave me the impression that he never made it to work the day he disappeared. He was nervous about testifying from the start but being that he didn't have a choice, he agreed to the confirmed date in which he was supposed to do so. I believe that if he had-had the choice not to, he wouldn't have and would've stayed uninvolved. It's just too much of a coincidence that he disappeared and also, one man having died in a fire and another man having died from a suspicious drug overdose, before they had the chance to testify. I also have yet to find information regarding his disappearance.

It's sad that his mother died not knowing where he was.

From what I saw in the segment, it looks like Oliver Munson lived in a neighborhood where there were a lot of houses, and I'm very surprised that none of the neighbors saw Oliver when he was abducted from his car. Whoever abducted Oliver must of been the person that stole the car, where Oliver's hat and the video rental receipts were found. A bullet casing was also found underneath the seat of that car. Maybe someone in the neighborhood witnessed Oliver's abduction and will not come forward for fear of their own lives.

Yeah I remember this case, very tragic. One of the teacher's who was interviewed in the segment say that students still come back and ask about him, if they found him. Also it seems that his family is very heart broken about it too. :( Very Sad case indeed. I doubt that he will ever be found alive.

It is definitely a tragic case. As time goes on, the chances of Oliver Munson being alive become increasingly remote. I believe that the man he was scheduled to testify against had something to do with his disappearance. I mean, how convenient for this thug that Munson just happened to vanish so soon before the start of the trial.

I should note that just because the case is old, doesn't mean that it can't be profiled somewhere on the internet. Indeed, there doesn't appear to be any sites on this case (at least none that I've been able to find), but it's not uncommon to find older unsolved cases than the Munson case on the internet.
