View Full Version : My Brother and Me
barwars 06-06-2004, 10:11 PM does anybody else remember this classic Nick show??
I loved it.... and I wonder why it doesnt have a board??
How long did it air for??
And when did it air??
Adamantium 06-06-2004, 10:23 PM It only made 13 episodes. I remember it too. I used to love it, but don't think I'd like it now. The character of Goo seemed just like Eddie Haskell.
Here's an episode list:
"My Brother and Me"
1994-1995
1. Pilot
2. The Practical Joke War
3. The Weekend Aunt Helen Came
4. Robin Hood Play
5. Basketball Tryouts
6. Where's the Snake?
7. Dee Dee's Girlfriend
8. Dee Dee's Haircut
9. Dee Dee Runs Away
10. Donnel's Birthday Party
11. Alfie's Birthday Party
12. Candy Sale
13. The Big Bully
vashti1999 06-06-2004, 10:31 PM It seemed like it ran forever the way Nickelodeon showed repeats all the time. I would have thought it was a little more than 13 episodes but, no exaggeration, they showed those same episodes week after week, over and over again for two years. I liked it though, the kids were cute.
barwars 06-06-2004, 10:36 PM 13 episodes??
seriously?!
thats insane, Nick aired it ALL the time back in the 90s.
Either way, I loved it.
And it just goes to show that a series could be the longest ever, or the shortest -- and still be loveable.
Goo was the man.
And was definately a black Eddie Haskell.
Actually.... it was pretty much a black Leave it to Beaver.
Mom, Dad, Brother, Old Brother, Snitch/Blackmail Friend.

Alot of Nick shows used to be like that. They make a few episodes and show them over and over. For some reason though they never got old with me...
I think Salute Your Shorts only made 20 something episodes and it was a great show.
I also liked My Brother and Me though. I cannot find the run dates though but I remember seeing that show along with Salute Your Shorts until the mid or late 1990s. I think both were made in the early 90s though. Those were the days...

The memories, I can still remember a little something about several of those episodes and some quite well. I think the woman that played Mona in "Mail Carrier Mona" also guest starred on Cheers on a recent episode that aired. Yes, she was Woody's very temporary roommate. The first episode was really good. Of course, all of them were good.
Ant-Lox 06-07-2004, 06:25 AM I loved this show too, they showed re-runs of it on Noggin, or whatever it was before, I should have taped it.
barwars 06-07-2004, 03:46 PM today in school we were talking about all the classic nick shows.
the new nick sucks.... the last DECENT show they made was Spongebob.

I agree. Jimmy Neutron is soo overrated.
EmoJoe 06-07-2004, 03:47 PM My favorite Nick show is Rugrats, and its given the crap treatment by Nick.
Adamantium 06-07-2004, 03:51 PM Give me "Hey Dude" over any other Nick show anyday. Followed by Salute Your Shorts and Space Cases.
TV Observer 101 06-07-2004, 03:52 PM I don't watch Nick anymore. I've quitted a long time ago. The early to mid 90's Nick was the best, IMHO.

SPACE CASES!!
THATS IT!!
All day at school we were trying to figure out the name of the series, but once I read what you wrote I knew for sure that its what we were talking about.
I loved that show, I watched it all the time at my grandma's before we had cable. That and Inspector Gadget, always on Sunday Mornings.
Ill never forget that.

Inspector Gadget was my favorite animated Nick show at the time.

I taped every episode of that show and was really upset when they quit making new episodes. Especially since that's one of those shows where the characters are trying to get home.
Also in the second season the Commander was seen less and less. They had him frozen for a couple episodes and off traveling on a planet in others.
I missed Catalina when she left, but I really liked Suzee. I also liked how Harlan and Radu finally got along in the second season.
While I'm at it, here's an episode list:
Season 1
1. We Gotta Get Out Of This Place
2. Who Goes Where
3. A Day In The Life
4. Spung At Heart
5. Forever Young
6. Nowhere Man
7. Desperately Seeking Suzee
8. It's My Birthday, Too (Yeah!)
9. Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Court
10. Prisoner of Luff
11. The Impossible Dram
12. Break On Through To The Other Side
13. On The Road To Find Out
Season 2
14. New Places, New Faces
15. The Sporting Kind
16. Long Distance Calls
17. King Of The Hil
18. Truth Hurts
19. Homeward Bound
20. All You Can Eaty
21. Both Sides Now
22. Mother Knows Best
23. A Star Is Boring
24. Runaway
25. Trouble With Doubles
26. A Friend In Need
They were on a seven year adventure. Which means they got home last year. I was hoping for a special (like with "Rescue from Gilligan's Island) but that didn't happen.
