a HORRIBLE addition. That TV character for me was PENNY being added to Good Times. That has to be one of the Worst TV characters addition in Sitcom History in my opinion. Never understood why she was needed.

Rose Burton on the last two seasons of The Waltons was a horrible addition IMHO. The show lost focus after that!

The obvious: Oliver, on The Brady Bunch. WHY????

I never liked the addition of Ricky Segall's character on The Partridge Family, either. He ate up airtime. And though he was cute, I didn't think he could sing worth beans.

Yep. He was horrible when he had to carry an episode.

Seven from Married w/Children was useless.

Pam on The Cosby Show was the devil.
Seriously.... if it weren't for her, the show would be absolutely perfect. But.... she ruined it.

I prefer the episodes before Olivia and Martin.... but I can tolerate them much more than Pam.

Jeremy Andretti- Eight is Enough Abby's nephew played by Ralph Macchio. I don't think his character was really needed.

Cousin Oliver of The Brady Bunch

Rhonda and Sonny on Laverne & Shirley

Happy Days-Roger Phillips-Ted McGinley, his brother Flip played by Billy Warlock, K. C Cunningham played by Cryrstal Bernard. The cast just got too big, Happy Days should have ended when Richie and Ralph left the show.

George Clooney on The Facts of Life. He was only added because they couldn't handle a successful show that didn't have a man as part of the main cast. Jo was more of a man than his ass ever was.

Gina on Full House. OMG, I hated her with a purple passion. She turned sweet little Stephanie Tanner into such a witch! I wanted to smack them both right out of the television!

On Family Matters when they brought in that kid that Carl and Harriet took in as a foster child 3J. I'm not kidding that's what he went by, I don't remember what his real name was supposed to be. He was almost as useless as Steve Urkel.

Leonardo Dicaprio's character Luke on Growing Pains was another foster kid/runaway that was taken in by the Seavers. I just didn't see the point and I don't think he added anything to the show.

The brothers Larry, Darryl, and Daryl on Newhart. I couldn't stand them.

On the show "ROC", the character Andre Thompson/dope pusher. Nice tension plot and all, but Clifton Powell/fellow Piscean, played that part sooooo good, he made you hate the character he portrayed, LOL.

Although Bewitched is one of my all-time favorite sitcoms, I didn't care for the later characters that were brought in. Maurice, Serena and Esmerelda were too over-the-top for me.

Andy on Family Ties
Lana on Three's Company

Riley Martin

Read my mind. Also the addition of the little girl (name slips my mind!) on Step by Step.

Etienne (Sheryl Lee Ralph) on DESIGNING WOMEN.

She was OK, as was Anthony's other girlfriend, Vanessa. But Allison Sugarbaker (Julia Duffy) was the worst. It was like watching Stephanie on Newhart all over again.

When they brought in Daphne's mother the last few seasons of Frasier. She was funny sometimes but mostly I didn't like her at all. She was such a know-it-all self centered shrew! I don't know how Daphne's father stayed with her for as long as he did. I know, she wasn't supposed to be likable but I absolutely hated her.
