Doesnt mean anything to me.... Good Times - Season 3 is in my hands, and I KNOW that they won't stop now.

Depends on the circumstance. Sometimes a studio will plan for a 1st and 2nd release at the same time, Boy Meets World is an example of that. I think sales may be the case for Good Times though, seeing how we didn't have to wait as long between the 2nd and 3rd seasons as we did the 1st and 2nd seasons. I would tend to think the company was encouraged enough to release the sets more frequently.

I'm going to explode if Season 4 of Good Times is out on DVD before season 3 of the Jeffersons. I MEAN EXPLODE!!!!

It also depends on the company, some release seasons faster than others. I mean look at Punky Brewster, they've gotta wait till like Feb. or March for Season 2, almost 8 months from the Season 1 release.

Some companies are just slower at releasing them than others.

Boy Meets World is gonna have two season releases 3 months apart. That's Buena Vista, they're a bit faster at releasing stuff than say Sony or Paramount.

I bet Good Times season 4 and Jeffersons season 3 will come out at the same time. Regardless, I think they'll come out with another Jeffersons season because of the death of Isabel Sanford. But if the Good Times sets are selling well I can see them wanting to get people into the store and pick up both Good Times and the Jeffersons at the same time.

That's how they got me with All In The Family. I was just interested in Soap season 2 and wasn't really thinking about AITF season 3 (both came out the same day), but I bought it on impulse. Now I'm into AITF and I'm interested in going back and buying the previous AITF seasons.

I think The Jeffersons - Season 3 will eventually come.... but I'm not sure if it will come before Good Times - Season 4.

I think Columbia Tristar (which I'll refer to as CT from here on) should release these on the same day:

The Jeffersons - Season 3
All in the Family - Season 4
Good Times - Season 4
Maude - Season 1
Sanford & Son - Season 6

That wouldn't be a bad idea. They could have a discount that increases with each set you buy. If you buy all five sets, it should work out to some very reasonable price to encourage people to buy more.

Good idea.
Then, with S&S out of the way -- they can release the other 4 at a faster rate.
Also, I should've added What's Happening - Season 3 to that list.
