I was watching these Episodes A hour ago, and I realized that these 2 Episodes Are 2 of My favorites Episodes of WINGS ever.

What does everyone Else think of these Episodes?

While many "WINGS" fans dislike the multiple "house fire" episodes over the next couple of seasons, the FIRST "house fire" story (which is the one that you're mentioning) WAS a great "WINGS" tale....In fact, it's one of those stories that seems to get better with repeated viewings.

The showdown between the Hackett brothers at the end of Part 1 is VERY emotional and powerful (some of the best acting that Tim and Steven did during the course of the series), and of course, I LOVE the bit in Part 2 where Helen is wearing Casey's best dress while she calmly slops ketchup all over it...HILARIOUS!

Yes, this two-parter is one of those "WINGS" stories that "sneaks up" on you....While maybe not "laugh out loud" funny all the way through, it actually is one of the better written and acted stories of the series....a great mixture of serious, emotional drama and funny comedy.

I agree, I liked it, too. My favorite line:

Brian:What's that?
Casey:It's a welcome home present for Joe and Helen.
Brian:Uh, kitten, we already gave them a welcome home present. WE BURNED THEIR HOUSE DOWN!!

I also really enjoyed the 2 part wedding episode, which I finally got to see this time around!

One of the things that bothered me rewatching these episodes is how Joe and Helen react. Like Helen wearing Casey's clothes and Joe yelling at Brian, when in turn, Joe and Helen end up doing the same thing. I think Brian should've said something about the hypocrisy after he learns about Joe and Helen burning down his house, but the writers just glossed over it and made him forget about it because he gets a big insurance check.

That bothered me too, it was a funny episode and I loved how it paralleled the premiere but it gets bogged down by what comes after and Olive and Twist is an anticlimax while the first house burning created a road for season 7 and resulted in a few good episodes "She's Gotta Have It", but the writers probably didn't want a repeat of season 7 and Casey and Brian did get a new apartment
