I just thought it would be nice to post a Ronald Reagan memorial thread on the Family Ties board since no other show was affected by Ronald Reagan more than Family Ties:

FT was Reagan's favorite show during the 80s
Alex was basically in love with Ronald Reagan

That's the first thought I had when I found out.

I liked when Jen (it might have been Mallory...I can't quite remember, even though I watched it about a week ago) was going through the mail and said, "Alex, the Reagans sent you a Christmas card." Alex replied something along the lines of, "That's it? I sent them a whole fruit basket." (Or whatever he said he sent them.)

Alex also sent the Reagans matching jump-suits on their anniversary and wanted the school to close on that day. That didn't work, but he stayed home anyway.

I have done something just like Alex would do concerning Reagan that I would like to share...

I wrote my younger sister's valedictorian speech for her graduation that will take place on Friday. The quote/theme I chose were words from Ronald Reagan. Since Friday is the day of mourning and a holiday, I think this is highly approriate.

I'm very Glad:) that there is a memorial made here for President Reagan! I really loved him & Nancy and also think its Cool that Family Ties is his Favorite Show!

Question: Did MJF got to meet the Reagans in person? And how many Reagan references that there been in Family Ties? Thanks! :wave:
