On many episodes Bill wore a pin with the initials SD or SP. Not sure! What were these initials and what did they stand for? What statement was he trying to make or was there a cause he was supporting?

I believe the initials SD stood for Sammy Davis jr. who guest starred on the Cosby Show. He died in 1990 so I think Cosby wore the pin in memory of Sammy Davis jr.
