TV Land has decided to postpone The Facts of Life 48 hour marathon until Nov 17-19. Saturday Nov 17 6AM E/P to Mon Nov 19 6am E/P. I guess they want to air it during the Reunion Weekend.
Gunsmoke will air this weekend.

Makes sense.

Thats just plain dumb because now some of us that planned on taping it will miss some of it because of the reunion.

You can still tape the reunion and the marathon if you have 2 vcrs. Yes, it may be time consuming, but if you want both.....

I decided to tape the reunion. Thats on the top of my priority list. They might not reair the reunion but I have seen most of those eps so if I miss a few, no big loss.

Maybe they won't update it tonight, but I'm sure they will soon.

As much as we don't like it, the ones that have decided to plan our weekends around it (we are the minority, by the way), it is a wonderful marketing strategy to have it aired on the same weekend as the reunion. I mean, the "hype" will be a bit larger, and would help in gaining viewers for the marathon. If you think about it, better ratings could spark interest in re-adding the show to the schedule of Nick at Nite, or maybe even adding it to TVLand. Chances aren't all that GREAT, though not impossible, that that would happen, but who knows. Be happy that they've worked out such a wonderful marketing strategy :-)

November 16-18, now that's going to be a GREAT weekend! Friday, I'll go see Harry Potter with a bunch of friends opening night. Then I'll catch a bunch of classic FOL episodes Saturday and Sunday, then the Reunion will be on Sunday night. I don't see one problem with that schedule. And then my Sweet Sixteenth will be that next Wednesday...November is quite nice actually.

Inasmuch as I hate Gunsmoke (and TVLand shows too much of that anyway), I can't help but agree it's a good marketing strategy.....

Arrrgh....I've been gone all week on a conference and I had noooo idea until the last minute that it was postponed, meaning that I woke up at 6 a.m. for nothing (seriously)!

Screw TV Land I woke up at 3am for nothing! Then I looked at the TV Guide channel and it said it was on at 4am.......

I'm surprised that so many people are mad at TV Land. At least it won't get the fate of the Charlie's Angels (May) and Military (Sep) Fandemoniums-Both were taken off at the last minute! At least they're airing it! The only thing I'm complaining about it that it could've had a better replacement!

TV Land may not be stupid, but they are extremely unprofessional. How long has the FOL reunion airdate been public? They should've done their homework. Also, we're only guessing that FOL will air next weekend. It's possible that they might not. Until I see the FOL fandemmonium on my TV, I retain my skepticism.

Well, this is typical. We originally put our faith in TV Land, but just remember- they're affiliated with N@N.

We don't need your snooty comments. Has it occured to you that some of us might be trying to save some money by taping those eps from TV, instead of paying for the expensive Columbia House copies?

It really bites that the FOL is not coming on this weekend. But im kinda glad beacsue I got a report finished so now I can watch even more FOL!

Excuse me, but it seems to me that postponing a Fandemonium marathon, which by the way is fairly common with TV Land, is nothing to lose sleep over. Especially when you can either record early morning episodes with a VCR or purchase the Columbia House tapes. And I'm the one handing out snooty remarks? What about all of you. Just because TV Land does this doesn't mean you should automatically start hating the network. Just cool off and get ready for next weekend. I mean what TV Land did was not that unexpected and I, myself wondered, why isn't TV Land airing the marathon the same weekend of the the reunion. Think about it. TV Land's actions make sense, despite the inconvenience and the obvious hankerings it brought about.

Also, why do I get the feeling that what ever show, besides The Facts of Life, that TV Land aired this weekend, most of you would have hated?

Gunsmoke is a classic, even though, you and I don't particularly like it.

I don't think that's true for everyone.I still would have been mad if ir wasn't going to be on but if there had been a better show then at least I would have something to watch but I have always hated Gunsmoke.Yes it is classic but that doesn't mean you have to like it.The fact that Gunsmoke is on the weekend FOL was suppose to be on only makes me hate it more than I allready do.

Now it's in two days......arggghhhh....I JUST CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your comment WAS snooty, because you said that waking up early to record those eps is stupid. If some of us choose to do it that way- LET IT BE! And in speaking for myself, I certainly never said that I hate TV Land.

Excuse me, I already knew that it was a snooty remark, when I posted it. That was the whole point, because everyone else was dishing out unflattering comments about TV Land, with no real justification, to do so. Fandemonium marathons have been postponed in the past. That is a fact of life when it comes to TV Land. (No pun intended)

Well if a person wants to get up early in the morning to tape eps of the 1st season, I see nothing wrong with that especially if they can't buy the tapes yet from Columbia house. Don't forget we have kids on the board that probably don't have $25.56 ot spend. Plus if you want something, you go after it.

As far as the complaining goes, I think everyone should just get over it as well as boshcner(exuse a possible misspelling). Stuff Happens and on the TV Land board it does say that "Fandemoniem schedule subject to change". It's just too bad NAN/TV Land does it so often. It bothers me too at times when NAN changes it's schedule every 3 weeks. Whose in charge of the scheduling anyway?

Well, as for me, I'm over it (although I certainly don't need to be told to "get over it"- I'll do as I please.), and I've been over it since last week. For me, that was a sudden gripe at the time because I just returned from a trip and the change in schedule caught me by surprise.

Umm no excuse me, why do you care if we dis TVLand? Do you work there or something? It does make sense for them to postpone it but it was very rude and unprofessional of them to wait until 2 days before to tell us. We have known about the reunion being this weekend since sometime in the summer. Also I personally am mad at Nick at Nite who treats there shows crappily, and TVLand is a subsidary of Nick at Nite, so I have the right to hate them too. We hate them for other reasons besides just this. What early morning episodes are you talking about anyway? There are no episodes on early in the morning. They don't show FOL at all anymore. Obviously you don't know what your talking about. And the tapes from Columbia House cost a lot of money hun, why don't you shell out 25.00 for every tape?

Yeah everyone has the right to hate whatever they want.I never said I hated tv land I said I hated Gunsmoke but I agree about hating nick at nite because I really hate nick at nite(The Cheers network).They treated FOL and alot of other shows really bad except for Cheers that is.

Anyways I'm not mad at Tv land any more because the marathon is tommmorow!unless they chnge it again if they do that I will officially hate tv land but so far nothing has come up so right now I'm happy!

I think many of us on this board are overlooking something obvious...

"You take the good..." (The reunion movie, the Fandemonium, etc)

"...You take the bad..." (Nick@Nite doing stupid things, people on the board spouting off about others)

I'm sitting here...in the freezing cold...BORED...not tired...thirsty...and yet too anxious to see FOL. GOD I'm bored! My brother's friend's spending the night and they're both up and alive playing video games right now....I'd join them I'm too bored to get up.

Geeeez, everyone, please calm down, I only pointed out that you shouldn't just automatically hate TV Land just because they postponed the FOL marathon. As for the person who said that I don't know what I'm talking about. I was talking about the early morning episodes that TV Land is going to air as part of the marathon. I also agree that the Columbia House tapes are expensive, and I'm sorry if I made it sound as if everyone could afford them. This, however, was far from my point. My main intention was to point out that waking up on November 10th at 5:00 a.m. (Central) to catch the FOL Marathon, only to be dissapointed was a bit foolish. Since you could have easily have set your VCR and woken up at 7:00 or 8:00. Therefore, yes, you would have been let down but it would not have deprived you of sleep.

I do apologize for saying all those things if you were not trying to seem angry about it. However I think you sould go back and read your post. I honestly feel you could have expressed it nicer. You called all of us snooty if we do not like TVLand and you just seemed angry in your post. Again if that was not your intention, I apologize, but I truly thought it was.

*I* was the one who sent the e-mail to TVLand,,,,at the time I didn't realize it was postponed....I jumped to the wrong conclusion when I turned on TVLand last Saturday morning and found Gunsmoke... I assumed that the FOL marathon had been cancelled at the last minute.....let's just be happy that we got our marathon this week http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

It makes me sad to think that we may not see fol on tv anymore after this weekend.
