Even though it is lacking a few things such as
-Subtitles
-Interview with Soleil
-Interview with Gaines
Anyways...I was kinda hoping they would tell us if Brandon the dog is still alive, and if not what year did he die? He was just a puppy 20 years ago, and I would guess he died sometime in the 1990's (Late 1990s) Anyways...if anyone knows it would be cool to know if he's still around...but I strongly doubt he is.
Anyways...The DVD is A+ for sure. Great extras. I hope they do as good a job on ALF as they did with Punky.
It was pretty cool seeing Punky brewster again after all these years, and a double whammy- it even has the cartoon series! Wowie!
I noticed that some of the openings to these episodes are different from the ones that i used to see. There was one were Punky is at a grocery store helping people out and it ends with her pulling Brandon up into the window of henry's building.
Then there was another one where Punky comes in and everything turns into a cartoon world. Wowie! Now THAT I've never seen Before.
The one I'm used to seeing are the ones that have episode clips like Henry discovering Punky jammin to Maniac, Punky on henry's shoulders in the Baseball Game episode, etc, etc.
But anyway, the episodes were neatly arranged and easy to access on your remote- no having to play the entire episode before you get to the scene that you want.
But the one thing that I didn;t like about the DVd was the first cartoon on the first Disc. They only showed the first part of the Glomer's Story episode and then they cut to the Special Edition menu like it is the end. The cartoon is imcomplete.
But anyway, It's a real good buy for 80's fans. I just wish they did other old shows like that

I got the dvd last night.. it is awesome! This is the first time that a tv show I enjoy(ed) has been released on dvd. I barely remember watching the show as a child but I know that I liked it. Once I heard the theme song again, it all came back to me again. Definitely worth the money.

Yeah that was a bit of a bummer. I did like that an NBC commercial bumper was snuck in after "Pretty Ugly." That was awesome. Too bad it wasn't on all of the episodes.

I also got my season 1 DVD set of Punky Brewster and I agree that its an A++ lol. I REALLY love and enjoy the dvd and all the episodes! I love the extra features of the cast and crew interviews and the cartoon punky too. It does suck that the "Glomer's story" is cut off tho and that there isnt an interview with Soleil and George Gaines ect. But I just hope they release seasons 2-4 of Punky on DVD SOON too lol, I cant wait to have the whole series on dvd.
