I noticed on the DVD first season, which the criminal “Marty” (the one who steals women purses) was in two different episodes.
Is there any other criminals that guest appear more than one episode in any of the other seasons?

I loved the antics of Marty and later with his Friend Darryl; but I must say my favorite criminal, if you want to call him that, was played by actor Ken Tigar, who appeared in several episodes of Barney Miller; he first appeared on Barney Miller was a victim of being assaulted by a group of elderly women in an episode titled Massage Parlor; then he came back and played a man convinced that he was a werewolf in one of the best Barney Miller episodes from the 3rd season called the Werewolf..but Ken Tigar best moment on Barney Miller when he was arrested by Wojo, and convinced the detective squad that he was Jesus Christ...

K.T. was my fav, too. He had a tiny part on just about every show ever made, it seems. :)
Then he finally got a bigger on part on one of my favorite ever cop shows, LA HEAT - a total leathal weapon rip off!

There were several good ones, but my favorite was Don Calfa. My favorite Calfa character was when he played a lobotomy patient. Sometimes he was very physical, kind of like Michael Richards. Ken Tigar's Jesus Christ is a close second.

Marty shows up several times throughout the series. I understand he was even in the series finale. I loved Kenneth Tigar as the werewolf, too.
