just wondering what the salaries for the three sons and uncle bub would have been when the series first began in 1960. i know fred mcmurray was part owner of the show so his income would be over the top. with some sitcoms paying a million per episode now, i bet back then it wasn't that way. just wondering if any of the old sitcom lovers like myself as an answer for this.

I would tend to think the boys received $500.00 to $700.00 an episode to start . I do know kid stars of the 50's received about that much. It probablilty depended on the studio. The show lasted a while so I would think their salaries would have gone up. Although I do remember reading a tv guide article with Buddy Foster, yes Jodie's brother who was on Mayberry Rfd and he received $1,000. a week

I think Fred MacMurray and William Frawley received pretty good salaries. Fred was a big movie star when My Three Sons started and so they had to pay big bucks to get him. They also had to meet his demand that he only work a certain amount of days per year. William Frawley was juct coming from I Love Lucy and he was in demand, so he probably got paid a pretty penny.

By the way, Fred MacMurray had a reputation for being one of the biggest tight wads in Hollywood.

I vote for Dodie as most annoying child ever on a tv series.

I thought Dodie - well, Dawn Lyn was cute. She was a really good little actress. The worst I think was the M3S producers making Dawn wear those dresses so short her underwear was always showing. That's cute for a toddler, not a 6-7 year old. Wow, that's hard, there are a lot of annoying former kid actors! Offhand I would say Beaver and Wally were the most annoying. Beaver's grammar... Thank goodness Ward would correct him! Wally was always saying "um" and "ah"!

No much from today's sitcoms and they didn't get any re run money. Today actors can do a sit com for 8-10 years and make tons of money and make even more money with re runs.
