Here is my first draft of it. I finally sat down and worked on it.
(My letterhead here)
In 1986, a breakthrough show hit your network's airwaves. It was a surprise hit, about an eccentric teacher and his motley crew of students. This show was called "Head of the Class." In 2006, it will be 20 years since the show first aired, and 15 since it ended. I feel that a reunion special is the right thing to do.
Throughout cyberspace, fanbases such as Sitcomsonline.com and TelevisionWithoutPity.com are places for fans from its original airing to reminisce about the show, and for new found fans to learn more about it. "Head of the Class" hits home (or should I say "school") for the people that love it. There are so many shows out there now that glamorize being rich and beautiful, yet "HOTC" relates more to us normal, everyday people.
For the reunion, here is what I suggest:
(the following will be bulleted)
---80s music to warm-up the audience pre-reunion
---a live taping with a host, and the opportunity to field questions from the audience
---snippets of episode clips intertwined with current interviews (when it airs on your network)
---setting possibly the original set (or a classroom if set is not available)
---a time to "meet and greet" the cast, crew, and creators after the reunion is finished
We hear about what the original cast is up to now, such as Brian Robbins and Dan Schneider producing, Leslie Bega in "CSI" and "The Sopranos," and most of the remaining cast still involved in acting projects. It would be a lot more interesting to hear it from their own mouths. Also, many would like to know what happened with Jory Husain (who now goes by the name Joher Coleman). If interested, I used to be in contact with him, and I can help to connect you to him.
"HOTC" is too precious of a show to go on being ignored by the media the way it is. I strongly feel that this reunion should go into effect no later than Summer 2006 - and there are many fans who would agree with me on that.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please call me at (my contact info goes here). Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,
(my full name, and signature)
What do you guys think? What needs to be edited? Do you have any other suggestions for how the reunion should go? Let me know!
