When Cliff uses monopoly money to show Theo the realities blue-collar workers face, I noticed an error. It all started when he gave Theo $1200--in Monopoly money, of course--and took $350 for taxes. With $850 to spare, Cliff took $400 for an apartment in Manhattan. Theo countered with living in New Jersey for $200, but Cliff takes the $200 back for a car. "I'll ride a motorbike," says Theo, and takes back $100. "You need a helmet," replies Cliff, and takes $50. In all, $350 was taken, and now he has $500. After putting in $200 for clothes, I saw he had $300. However, in the next shot, he claims $200. I don't understand here. Did they either cut the part when Cliff reduced Theo's salary to $200, or they never found out how the other $100 was taken? Can someone clear me up on this?

Cliff asks Theo something like "are you going to have a girlfriend?"
Theo answers yes, and Cliff takes away the rest of the money :p

Cliff: Do you plan to have a girlfriend?
Theo: For sure.
Cliff takes remaining $200, points at the nothingness in Theo's hand: Regular people.
LOL!!!

You're right at the end. Here's a summary of Cliff's strategy of what the bill comes to with $1200 a month.
$350- Taxes
$200- Apartment in New Jersey
$150- Motorbike & Helmet.
$200- Clothes and shoes (I want to look good)
$200- Money for girlfriend.
$100- ??? (I need to know here)
What we see comes to $1100, but Cilff gave Theo $1200. My real question is how the other $100 got spent? Sorry if I confused anyone. Maybe sydnication cut out a part of the eppie. I'm not sure.

Oh, I see what you mean now. The other $100 was spent on food.

"Nooo problem."
"Yes, there is a problem. YOU HAVEN'T EATEN YET!"
I love those early episodes; Cliff and Clair had absolutely no patience for the children.

Everyones right but after Theo was told "you havent eaten yet" and Cliff takes the $100...Theo then tells him something like I can live on bologna or something and takes back some money, then they talk about having a girlfriend
Taxes - 350
Rent - 400
NJ Rent - 200 = 550
Motorbike and Helmet - 150 = 700
Clothes - 200 = 900
Food - 200
Can eat crap + 100 = 1000
Girlfriend - 200 = 1200
