View Full Version : Whose Line Is It Anyway? david&maddie4ever 05-30-2004, 10:21 PM Any Whose Line fans here? I'm a diehard. :biglove: TheHappyBurgerMeister 05-30-2004, 11:31 PM I like the show. I haven't watched it much lately, but I only see it on ABC Family. Actually I never really got into it until about 2 years ago. Before that I thought it looked really stupid, but then I watched it one day and liked it! *Pleasant Tomorrow* 05-31-2004, 08:19 PM Who's Line rules...I havn't watched it in awhile. :o david&maddie4ever 05-31-2004, 09:39 PM Originally posted by *A TV People* Who's Line rules...I havn't watched it in awhile. :o Yay. :woohoo: I tape every episode. Colin's my favorite. :biglove: *glances lovingly at avatar* *Pleasant Tomorrow* 05-31-2004, 10:26 PM Originally posted by david&maddie4ever Yay. :woohoo: I tape every episode. Greg? He's my favorite non-regular. He's been on those E! countdown specials...he's awesome. :loveya: *Pleasant Tomorrow* 05-31-2004, 10:51 PM Originally posted by david&maddie4ever Greg? Why? :( Chambers 06-07-2004, 07:06 PM I LOVE this show! I started watching the original Whose Line in England - with Clive Anderson. I have to say I like Clive a lot more than Drew. But Drew is still good. The nice things is that the comedians were all the same ones hehe. And Colin is my favorite too!!!!!!! My favorite memory of him is when he can't come up with words for the hoedown and pretends to faint! david&maddie4ever 06-07-2004, 08:08 PM Originally posted by DianeDiane I LOVE this show! My favorite memory of him is when he can't come up with words for the hoedown and pretends to faint! I've watched the original one a few times, but I like the American version better. I don't know why...I'm just used to it, I guess. *shrugs* My favorite Colin thing (there's so many) is when Drew stole his rhyme for a hoedown, and he mouths the whole thing, ending with "MY BATTERY PACK!" :rotflmao: That one kills me every time. Chambers 06-07-2004, 08:16 PM !! I also love that sketch he does with Ryan: "best of" CD collections. those never fail to crack me up! but i like the commentary better than the singing part. david&maddie4ever 06-07-2004, 08:25 PM Originally posted by DianeDiane !! Yeah, me too! Have you ever seen the episode where Ryan says, "What comes to your mind when I say Ricky Ricardo and great cigars?" and Colin says, "Tapioca!" Ryan just cracked up and couldn't stop laughing for like 5 minutes. Chambers 06-07-2004, 08:34 PM  I love it when they crack up! So many great moments... scenes from a hat - another favorite of mine. david&maddie4ever 06-07-2004, 08:35 PM Originally posted by DianeDiane  I love it when they crack up! So many great moments... scenes from a hat - another favorite of mine. Yeah, that's my favorite. I also love Weird Newscasters (especially when Colin's the anchor) and Infomercial. My sig has one of my favorite WN quotes from Colin. :biglove: Chambers 06-07-2004, 08:55 PM lol! i actually remember that florist friars thing . david&maddie4ever 06-07-2004, 09:01 PM Originally posted by DianeDiane lol! i actually remember that florist friars thing . I'm putting in a new WN quote in a couple minutes...I have all my favorite episodes TiVo'd, so I'll get it from there. :D Chambers 06-07-2004, 09:35 PM I love your new sig! It amazes me how these people come up with these things on the spot! :notworthy david&maddie4ever 06-07-2004, 09:41 PM Originally posted by DianeDiane I love your new sig! It amazes me how these people come up with these things on the spot! :notworthy Thanks. :D I know...that drives me crazy. I mean, why can't I be funny like those people? *pouts* My sister and I were quoting WL all day. We did the entire "Obnoxious Drunks Award Show" skit. Remember that one? Carrie 06-09-2004, 04:09 PM I'm glad to see that there are more Whose Line is it Anyway? fans out there. I LOVE it! I record it every night off of ABC Family. Ryan's my fav. ;) Crapple 06-15-2004, 05:10 AM I have the entire first four UK seasons on tape. I watched the US series for a while but got pretty tired of it by the second season. Same contestants, same formulaic jokes, and Drew Carey was just awful as host... barwars 06-17-2004, 03:12 PM I LOVE Who's Line....but, does anybody else think that Wayne Brady isn't funny?? I wish Greg would take his place. My favorite is Colin, but I like Ryan and Greg too. The worst is Wayne Brady.... but whats funnier than anything is watching Drew Carey laugh. The best line ever was when they were doing the news and either Ryan or Colin (not sure which) said something like.... "Welcome to the 6 O'Clock News, at 9." barwars 06-17-2004, 03:15 PM Just in case you didn't know, there are about 12 episodes of Who's Line Is It Anyways? that haven't been aired yet. I read at thefutoncritic (www.thefutoncritic.com) that ABC plans on airing them sometime this summer. I just hope it isn't as bad as this season of The Drew Carey Show, kill it before it suffers any more. Crapple 06-17-2004, 03:46 PM Originally posted by barwars I LOVE Who's Line....but, does anybody else think that Wayne Brady isn't funny?? Wayne Brady was my favorite of the U.S. cast at first...until I realized he always goes for the same jokes and impersonations. He's kind of a one trick pony. I have always been--and continue to be--a Greg Proops fan, since his appearance in the second season of the UK series. He didn't even wear suits back then. Chambers 06-17-2004, 04:26 PM Wayne isn't as funny as the others - though he CAN be funny. What annoys me is that he's so "perfect." He can sing perfectly, dance perfectly - he's practically a machine! There's no risk in his comedy, so I'm not very amused. You know he's gonna get it right every time. Colin, on the other hand, keeps his audience on the edge of their seats. That's why I love that time when Colin pretended to faint when he ran out of things to say. One of the funniest things Colin ever did was--I believe--during one of the UK seasons. It was his turn for the song segment (I think it was a march) and he sang one solitary verse, then gestured his hand at pianist Richard Vranch, and with a big grin, said "instrumental!" I remember that! I miss the UK show. Clive was so good. And the audience was so much nicer - they didn't "woo" as much. Crapple 06-18-2004, 04:11 PM Originally posted by DianeDiane Hahaha! Thank you for reminding me of one of the things I despised most about the US version...the audiences are way too easy! The UK audiences--for the most part--really make you work for it. Chambers 06-19-2004, 01:37 PM Originally posted by Crapple The UK audiences--for the most part--really make you work for it. That reminds me of a line from Gosford Park. After telling an ill-received joke, the American, Henry Denton, complains to Emily Watson's character, Elsie: "You British really don't have a sense of humor do you?" She replies, "We do if something's funny." Now that's funny. After watching the American version for a while, I got used to the audience. At least Colin, Ryan and Greg are still great! CarJackSnyder 07-24-2004, 04:24 PM I LOVE this show!! my favorite is Ryan !! :D :) :D :) Newbie 08-02-2004, 12:25 PM This might be too late for this thread, but I'm so relieved that I'm not the only Whose Line addict in this world. It comes on from 10:00-11:00 p.m weekdays over here on ABC Family, and I rarely miss it. Colin is awesome on this show, with Ryan a close second. My favorite non regular is Brad, though Greg is great too. I'm not a fan of the other guy (forgot his name), and the woman (kathy greenwood I think) is nice to look at but not really funny. A thing to watch out for on the show is Colin's lines during the "Irish Drinking Song". His one liners to end the songs are brilliant. When he ended one line with "there's blood in my stool", I almost died laughing. Another one was from the skit "Scenes from a hat". I think the topic was "bad songs to use for the movie Titanic", and Colin's line was (snapping his fingers) "Corpses bobbing in the sea..la la la la la la la". LOL. There are so many great one-liners by Colin. Great show. If it ever comes out on DVD, I'll be running to the stores (or to my computer to order it). Crapple 08-02-2004, 02:29 PM When did everyone start hating Wayne Brady? I don't get it. NostalgiaAce777 09-13-2004, 11:58 PM Did anyone see last nights episode with Richard Simmons? I thought I'd Die, I laughed so hard. They were all raggin on him. Drew was "gone". He was fallin off the seat. NostalgiaAce777 09-14-2004, 11:26 PM Simmons sure lacks exhuberance doesn't he?? LOL!!! He isn't shy about his sexuality that's for damn sure....he definitely wasn't on WLIIA. He was so hitting on Wayne Brady. david&maddie4ever 09-18-2004, 12:24 AM Strange that this thread should pop up just as I'm in the mood to talk "Whose Line?" :D I saw the "there's blood in my stool" episode for like the 40th time the other day. I think Colin's endings to the "Irish Drinking Songs" could quite possibly be the most consistently funny part of this show. Just to name a few: "I peed my pants." "Meow!" "...and then we both will fart." "You can get poo from fud." The list goes on... Flying Dutchman 09-20-2004, 10:24 AM Love this show so much __________________ Flying Dutchman 09-20-2004, 10:28 AM Originally posted by Crapple When did everyone start hating Wayne Brady? I don't get it. The multi talented wayne brady? this show would work without him but its much better with him, I like them all and yes i think wayne is very funny so is collin. RetroGal 09-20-2004, 12:48 PM I too am a big fan of this show. I try to tape as many episodes as I can. You can download episodes online too by the way. ;) Some of my favorite moments so far (since I haven't seen all of the episodes yet) are: *the one with Richard Simmons *the maltese burger game where Ryan kisses Colin lol ^ one of the first scenes of Whose Line I saw and it got me hooked *the greatest hits where Colin teases Ryan about his nice segues and Ryan cracks up *the cat! episode where Ryan cracks up again *the party quirks where Ryan breaks the neon light on Drew's desk. The only time Ryan was embarrassed (he said so in an interview) lol *the hardware store one where Ryan was the owner of the store and Colin was a customer.. Ryan: I knew she wanted a hammer, maybe a couple nails and a good screw." *the party quirks one where Colin's quirk was that he thought people were lying about their gender. too funny *the sound effects game where Colin and Ryan were at an amusement park. Colin gives birth on top of a rollercoaster and he pushes the baby back in so he could climb down the ladder lol *also the sound effects game where the lady was supposed to make an elephant noise and instead she quacked *the german millionare game where Greg was the host, Ryan was the contestant and Colin was the phone a friend. When Ryan calls up Colin, Colin's response and accent breaks Ryan and he tries to control his laughter *the newsflash game where the background is Colin and when they ask how did it start Colin says "It all started with a badly timed bald joke" *The helping hands where wine squirts on Ryan's face after Colin pops the cork. There are so many more, but I'll stop here. ;) Can't wait to see the Green Screen show Oct 7. By the way, tonight Drew will be a guest host for The Late Late Show on CBS. He will also be the host for tomorrow's episode. Then Ryan will be on Two and a Half Men on Sept 27 on CBS. He'll also be on Celebrity Poker Showdown on BRAVO channel on October 17. Anyone going to a Whose Line live show? I'm going to see Drew Carey, Kathy Kinney, Brad Sherwood, Colin Mochrie, Chip Esten, Greg Proops, Sean Masterson, and Laura Hall in Escondido, CA on Oct 29. Check out improvallstars.com for info. :) NostalgiaAce777 09-23-2004, 11:32 PM I like when Kathy kinny is on the show, I would just love to see her do a Mimiism on Drew. tubewatcher 11-10-2004, 05:14 AM This Kevin Kringle guy looks like Colin Mochrie from the show, “Who’s line is it anyway?” At least I think so. http://www.kevinkringle.com/. shhdontspeak 11-12-2004, 09:09 PM http://img115.exs.cx/img115/165/colin.jpg and http://img115.exs.cx/img115/8666/kringle.jpg Haha, you be the judge =). David 11-13-2004, 10:37 AM My favorite is Wayne :) byjw82 12-19-2004, 03:51 AM I love love love this show! My fave is Ryan by far! And my favorite non-regular is Brad. I agree with the Wayne Brady comment. I don't think he's that funny. He is just too perfect. Though when he does actually screw up it's funny. My fav skit is the moving people on. Where two from the audience come up and move Ryan and Collin. Those are always hilarious!!!!! Belair 01-04-2005, 07:43 PM Its hilarious! I love Colin and Ryan. All the games are great, but my absolute favourite would have to be the Props game, and the hoe-down. |
