Who is your favorite surviving 80's singer? Does not count 80's singers who are making a comeback after being nothing for years. Such as Annie Lennox.

I voted Madonna.

I don't see how Annie's been nothing for years tho. Her last few albums have all done better than the last several Phil Collins albums.

Elton has survived the 80's, but I wouldn't classify him as an 80's singer IMO

This didn't include bands. :grr: Oh well... I guess Madonna? (bleh.)

And yeah, Elton John should not be up there.

I like Madonna's Whitney Houston's and Janet Jackson's music.

Too bad Kylie Minogue can't count. Her music was cool back in the 80s.

depends what country you're in. In America, she never got that big. Worldwide however, she's on a Madonna/Mariah/Celine level

I'm not sure Phil Collins has really survived the 80's. He's been experiencing declining record sales for a decade now. I always perfered him with Genesis anyway.

me too, the only "hit" he's had in the past decade was the Tarzan song, and even that wasn't huge, and definately not compared to the hits he scored from 1981-1992
