View Full Version : Would you still watch The Division if Nancy McKeon quits the show? Nancyfan2005 05-26-2004, 11:14 PM Would you still watch the division if Nancy McKeon were to quit the show? consentida 05-27-2004, 11:55 AM Yes I would. :) *MIBabe03* 05-27-2004, 12:31 PM Originally posted by consentida Yes I would. :) Yep ditto. I would still watch the show even if my favorite actress left also. It's not the Nancy show, it's an ensemble cast. consentida 05-27-2004, 03:55 PM Originally posted by Princess2003 Yep ditto. I would still watch the show even if my favorite actress left also. Me too. I mean...if Bonnie left I honestly wouldnt care. Okay so maybe I would. lol. But it wouldnt bother me THAT much. I'd deal with it and move on. DarthMaul'sDiciple 05-27-2004, 04:35 PM You all must be loyal Amy Jo Johnson fans then, right? Or maybe loyal fans of Taraji P Henson or Loyal John Hamm fans. Maybe you're hoping that Roma Downy comes back for good and replaces Jinny/Nancy McKeon for good and thus is a true hardcore Roma Downy fan. Maybe you're hoping that Stacey is the one miracle person who will replace Jinny for good, right Princess2003 and consentida and anyone else who would care less if Nancy left for good? DarthMaul'sDiciple 05-27-2004, 04:45 PM I tell you what, if Nancy left the show, we true Nancy fans out there will boycott Lifetime and the Lifetime Movie Network for good, and we will spread the message that Lifetime and the Lifetime Movie Network isn't worth watching, and we will recommend the Oxygen channel and WE(Womens Entertainment) as the womens channels to watch. Heck, The Tracy Thurman story and The Last Mafia Marriage would get more audiences if they both were on the Biography channel, ya know. I think personally that Lifetime period(whether its the Lifetime channel or Lifetime Movie Network) treats Nancy McKeon's tv movies like crap. Heck, they don't even show her tv movies that much anymore. they used to show it a lot in 2001 and 2002 and even somewhat in 2003. But not as much anymore. And the Wrong Woman, that movie seems to be like trash to both Lifetime and The Lifetime Movie Network. And Comfort and Joy, they only show it now just once every 2 or 3 months. Not much showtime, ya know. I think they would show it more often on another womans channel like Oxygen or WE. Or maybe even the Family Channel for that matter.I personally see the Family Channel showing Comfort and Joy at least 2 times per month. *MIBabe03* 05-27-2004, 05:41 PM Originally posted by DarthMaul'sDiciple You all must be loyal Amy Jo Johnson fans then, right? I'm a big fan of Bonnie Bedelia actually. She's been around now for over 30 years in this business and she deserves more respect. Just like nobody else could replace Jinny/Nancy, nobody could replace Kate/Bonnie. Boycott all you want to, if that happens either way you will lose because there won't be a show anymore, and no more Nancy either. bananasplit 05-27-2004, 06:13 PM I think I would probably watch it. consentida 05-27-2004, 06:38 PM Originally posted by DarthMaul'sDiciple consentida and anyone else who would care less if Nancy left for good? Dude. What the **** is your problem? You seriously need to chill out man. Did I ever say I liked Amy Jo Johnson? No. Even if I did, what difference would it make? The show isnt all about one person, you know. There are other people on the show besides Nancy McKeon. Bonnie Bedelia just happens to be my favorite actress on the show and as I said in my second post on this thread, I could care less if she left the show tomorrow. Just as I could care less if Nancy left the show or anyone else. These actors have lives and families too. They're people, not robots. They cant go on forever. So if the show was cancelled, I could care less. I'm a huge Division fan and everything, but if the actors wanted to quit the show and start families or do other things, I would understand. I wouldnt boycott the show if someone wanted to leave. I'd respect their decision instead. Its ridiculous how some of you people think. I agree to a point if, it is the actors decidtion to leave then yes, I agree that it shouldn't matter that it's their choise. But REally people as A LOT of people have pointed out, Nancy just had a baby! Maybe she wants to take a year off to spend time with her family, if she is working she would most likly miss all of the baby's firsts....First word first step...all those other important things. And Family I blieve is VERY important to Nancy, so Missing those firsts I think would be a HUGE deal to her. I mean think about it, doing an acting with the secudles sp that they have are LONG days, sometimes taping into nights...I could be worng on that one, but some shows do. And even if, Lifetime can work around Nancy's time, and get her off earlyer, maybe she doesn't want to do that. Maybe she just wants to be with her family right now. Maybe a year from now she will come back...Hell maybe she want to dircict after her time off. We really don't knwo as of yet. Once again if, this is nancy decision the Boycotting the network, and or all lifetime channels isn't going to help. We should be souporting Nancy not causeing more problems. Do you think she would be happy to see her fans boycotting a channel that can help women? I don't think so. maybe that jsut me, but I doubt it. And as far as show nancy's movies, lifetime shows more of her movies then they do anyone else in the cast..so What's the problem? I must have missed something there... Last thing...NoT all nancy fans, but some of you got some problems, that you have to work out in your own crazy minds! So in that respect I agree with Tara, and Cat... ENOUGH SAID....Until some  of you crazy  People Talk again.... I must have missed something there... Lifetime's and the Lifetime Movie Networks showing of nancy McKeon movies has thinned out alot over the months. Sometimes both channels combined will only show two or three of her movies each 1 time for the month. I remember when they would show 10 or more of her movies multiple times for the month. That was only in 2001 and 2002, especially in 2001. I think they show more Bonnie Bedelia movies on both Lifetime and Lifetime movie Network than they do Nancy McKeon's movies. consentida 05-27-2004, 09:26 PM Originally posted by DarthMaul'sDiciple Lifetime's and the Lifetime Movie Networks showing of nancy McKeon movies has thinned out alot over the months. Okay...no they do not show Bonnie Bedelia movies more than they show Nancy McKeon movies. God....you know in the time I've been on this board theres always been this animosity among Bonnie and Nancy fans. Why is that? Its ridiculous. But anyways, I agree with Michelle, they do show Nancy movies on Lifetime more than any other cast member. Bonnie has tons and tons of movie that are Lifetime worthy. But are they ever shown...nope. How many times do we get to a Lisa Vidal movie on Lifetime? Like once a year. So really man...I dont know what you're complaining about. Its us Bonnie and Lisa fans that should be complaining. DarthMaul'sDiciple 05-27-2004, 10:06 PM I could remember 1 month either earlier this year or late last year where they didn't even show any of Nancy McKeon's movies at all, and it made me mad. The only thing they showed besides Division eppisodes was her Intimate Portrait, that was it. And I predict her movies completely running dry either late this year or next year. And I mean completely dry. Now that month they were showing Firefighter and Baby Snatcher, but guess which channels showed those two? Encore and TBS. Thats who. I've only seen Ted Turner himself show the Nancy McKeon movie Baby Snatcher. And he'll keep showing it on either of his two channels(TBS or TNT). consentida 05-27-2004, 10:08 PM Originally posted by DarthMaul'sDiciple I could remember 1 month either earlier this year or late last year where they didn't even show any of Nancy McKeon's movies at all, and it made me mad. The cast of the Division and any other show for the matter, do the sows as their way to pay the bills. And about hte movies, they do show thme once in a while. This isn't the Nancy McKeon network. There are so many other movies for the channel. Inspector Bariteau 05-29-2004, 08:58 AM I voted undecided. True the show is good as a whole, and if the writers weren't so STUPID the show would probably be alot further along in storylines then it is now. And it has great potential to go lots of different ways if the writers would just open there eyes and write it that way. But as far as watching it if Nancy left...I dunno. I mean I got hooked on TD through Nancy, and if she were off the show I probably wouldn't watch it. After all, they took Angela off who I liked a little bit and then Tracey who I liked alot, and replaced her with Amy, and now I'm like who's going to be next ya know? Now, if not for liking Nancy and her acting ability I probably never would have known about TD. But if I would have watched it regularly NOT being a peticular Nancy fan, then I still probably wouldn't watch it if she left. Like I said, with Angela, and Tracey gone it just sucks all the life out of TD. Why do all good things come to an end, anyways? That's exactly how I feel. maria1986 05-29-2004, 11:51 AM I still watch now that Tracey is gone...:(...so I'd probably still watch if Nancy was gone....As long as that hot Jon Hamm is still there ;). Ewan's My Man 05-29-2004, 12:40 PM I prolly wouldnt. I mean, I wouldn't do it deliberately even though Jinny's my favorite. I wouldn't say, "Nancy's leaving! I'm no longer watching The Division". But I mean, CD's gone too, no Tracey OR Nancy? I'd be pretty damn bored. But I haven't really been watching it that much anyways. I've been watching Alias and taping TD, but then I always feel like it's a chore to sit down and watch those tapes. The last episode I watched was the one where Hank and her Dad sung in the hallway. I dunno, I don't even feel like watching it these days, but I prolly will b/c of Nancy. If she left I think I would lose interest completely however, I would prolly watch it every now and then to see what everyone's been up to. NancyMRulz 05-31-2004, 10:09 PM im not trying to be mean at all, but who said that she's leaving? i mean she's been gone for like only 3 episodes and now every1 is worried about her leaving. nothing has been confirmed or anything. i mean she had a baby and shes on maternity leave. she is spending time with her baby, thats all. she's coming back. if you're worried about it your worried over nothing. i mean if it happens worry about it when it happens at the least. but right now we arent even thru with the season. now, i myself am a fan of nancy's too, but i'm not worried about it. because, nobody said she is leaving for sure or anything. if she did leave yeh it would be a great loss to the show but still, stop worrying about it. thats just my opinion tho. if you want to worry about it, then go ahead, but you're worrying yourself over nothing. and i think that i would watch it every now and then just to see whats goin on. but i have a feeling that she's not goin to leave. but this is just my opinion. but if i were you, i'd have a little faith in her.....i know i do. but if she leaves, what's done is done and that is her decision and i would probably support her. but we'll just have to see what happens later. so just stop worrying about it DarthMaul'sDiciple 06-03-2004, 06:15 PM I still watch now that Tracey is gone......so I'd probably still watch if Nancy was gone....As long as that hot Jon Hamm is still there . You godda be kidding me! Jon Hamm. He's like the biggest looser god has ever invented since Corey Haim on Lucas. Hell, Jon Hamm was a big time wus on the war movie We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson. Yes he survived that movie, only because of the all mighty arms of Mel Gibson. Hell, if Jon Hamm left the arms of Mel Gibson, he would have been shot down, because Mr. Hamm doesn't even know how to use an M-16 the right way. He would have ran back to the ravine against orders just to save his candy ***. So you thing Jon Hamm is hott, then I also recommend Leonard DeOnofrio from Full Metal Jacket and Jim Neigbors from Gomer Pyle USMC. Hell, Nate ain't even himself anymore without his beloved CD to be with. consentida 06-03-2004, 07:03 PM Originally posted by DarthMaul'sDiciple You godda be kidding me! Jon Hamm.
