Hey guys. I have very optimistic news from TVshowsonDVD.com regarding Carsey-Werner, the company that owns the rights to Roseanne. In a recent article, it is announced that Bill Cosby: Himself is coming to DVD, and the famous sitcom, The Cosby Show is also mentioned. They say that while The Cosby Show has not yet been announced for a retail DVD release, C-W is currently shopping around for a distributor to release their shows on DVD in the USA. The author of the article tells us to save our money because a DVD release for The Cosby Show IS going to happen. This is exciting news, as I bet once they find a distributor, C-W will probably release other hit shows they own, like Roseanne, That '70s Show and 3rd Rock from the Sun. I'd love to see Grounded for Life as well, but I don't think that one is popular enough for DVD :(

This is awesome news, and I hope they get all this straightened out soon. I guess now I don't have to tape the whole series of the shows I mentioned above, as they should get the DVD treatement in the future.

Woohoo! Cosby is coming to DVD!!! Now, let's just hope and pray and keep our fingers crossed that Roseanne can make it as well! Roseanne, for me, is a much better show than The Cosby Show so if Cosby goes over well I don't think that Roseanne should have any problems making it to DVD as well.

I don't think I'd be interested in buying That 70's Show (though my dad would buy then in a heart beat) or 3rd Rock from the Sun (despite the fact that I like both of those shows) but I would DEFINATELY purchase Roseanne and some seasons of The Cosby Show. Should A Different World make it to DVD I would buy some seasons of that too.

actually... 3rd rock from the sun seasons 1 and 6 are out in the UK :D season 2 coming soon too.

I understand that, but my post is referring to Region 1 DVDs that would be released in the USA. I was actually gonna buy a multi-region DVD player so I could watch the 3rd Rock season sets, but I'm hoping they will be released in the USA. BTW, how do you know season 2 is coming soon? Has it been announced yet? I ask this because it seems like it took a long time to release Season 1 after Season 6.

Personally, I'd buy all seasons of Roseanne, The Cosby Show, That '70s Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun and Grounded for Life, if they were released.
