Anyone know where one could find a copy of the 1965 remake of "The Adoption"? This of course being the only time Audrey Meadows returned to play Alice other than the 70's reunion shows. I have seen clips of it shown here and there, but never the entire show.

One question about this show that I cannot find any info on is who played Trixie. I don't think Joyce Randoph ever came back after the original 50's show ended, so my best guess is Jane Kean, though she would have not yet been a Jackie Gleason regular(until the following year, anyway).

Other possibilities: Patricia Wilson played Trixie in the two "Honeymooners" done the first year of "American Scene Magazine"(with Sue Anne Langdon as Alice), so perhaps she may have done it again. The last guess is that perhaps Trixie did not even appear in that episode...I've only seen the original 1950's version once and I don't remember if Trixie was in it.

I've never seen the 1965 remake in my life, but that was the only episode that Audrey Meadows played Alice on Jackie Gleason's "American Scene Magazine". That was a year before Jackie moved to Miami from New York the following year where he returned to network television as "The Jackie Gleason Show" in which the show was in the color format. After Audrey Meadows left, Shiella McRae took over as the lead role of Alice on the show.

You're right, Trixie did not appear in that 1965 musical "Adoption" episode. In their first scene together, Norton told Ralph that Trixie was out of town taking care of her sick mother (which frankly seemed like kind of a lame cop-out for not having the character appear on the show).
