EXACTLY!!
They're 2 of the best sitcoms ever. They both make almost ever "top 50" or "top 25" list ever.
So you have no right criticizing jpnoyes for not liking certain shows.

Im not critizing him, just saying I disagree. You have no right critizing me for disagreeing.
Nighthawk76 05-23-2004, 01:06 PM Square Pegs! One of the worst shows! Those are fighting words!;) I'm just kidding. Though I love Square Pegs I understand how someone might not like it.

I saw it back in 2001 when it was on N@N. SJP was alright, but it is dated. I did question putting it on the list though, so it's certainly not the worst show. Maybe 29 or 30. LOL

The Facts of Life- Back in 2000 or 2001 all N@N seemed to air were episodes of the Facts of Life. Too much of any show isn't good, and N@N killed any chance of me ever wanting to watch FOL again.
Full House- My favorie show. When I was 10. The show doesn't amuse me anymore. I guess I'm too old to enjoy this show.
The Fresh Prince- I liked this show in the 90's. Watching it now, it seems dated.
The Nanny- Two words. Fran Drescher. Do you have to ask?

tho I disagree with you about Facts Of Life (IMO, the last 3 years where tv has been FOL-less has been hell), I agree with these two.
I also loved Full House, however, once I turned 12, I grew out of it. And I also loved Fresh Prince when it was current yet in retrospect don't really care for it.

It was so horrible. Personally, I think TFOL changed Nick at Nite not for the better but for the worse!

why do you say FOL changed N@N, yet Nick acquired Mork And Mindy in 1991 and Taxi in 1994... and those shows premiered JUST ONE SEASON before FOL did. Why is a 1978 show in 1991 so "okay" (in your "I hate modern tv classics" mindframe) yet a 1979 show in 2000 was just so taboo?
FamilyTiesGOP 05-23-2004, 07:01 PM Mama's Family?!?!?!?!?!?!?:faint: *having convulsions*
That list is highly suspect.

Superstar 01-07-2005, 10:52 AM Sabrina the Teenage Witch - Buffy was 1000 times better
How can you compare Buffy to Sabrina? They are completely different shows, the only thing they have in common is that they both started airing at about the same time, they have female leads and they both aired on the WB network for a while.

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Hanging With Mr. Cooper
Saved by the Bell: the College Years
The Nanny
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Those are the only ones I disagree with.
Belair 01-15-2005, 02:22 AM I gotta say that i agree with every one of those choices except,
The Nanny-its one of my all time favourite shows.
Full House
Saved by the Bell College Years
and Sabrina.
The rest are crap,i agree, but to be honest, there are heaps on that list that i have never heard of here.
Vincent Paterno 01-16-2005, 02:04 PM The Facts of Life -- Not one of my favorites.
Square Pegs -- Good for what it was, but too short-lived to call it bad.
Mama's Family -- If you liked farce it was okay, but...
Punky Brewster -- See "The Facts Of Life."
Designing Women -- A good sitcom, not quite a great one.
Amen -- Sherman Hensley unsuccessfully tries to escape the ghost of George Jefferson.
A Different World -- Never watched it.
Full House -- Too bland for my tastes.
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air -- Okay, but too farcical.
Hanging With Mr. Cooper -- Didn't watch it.
Martin -- Not a Martin Lawrence fan.
Living Single -- Never watched it.
Saved by the Bell: the College Years -- Didn't watch 'em in high school, either.
The John Larroquette Show -- Not bad, but at first a bit too dark for the network, IIRC. They made changes and weakened the show, a la when Tea Leoni's "The Naked Truth" moved to NBC.
The Nanny -- Fran Drescher is funny and sorta sexy, but the humor was a bit too forced. (And that voice -- well, from hearing her on talk shows, we know that it was for comic effect.)
Ellen -- Ms. DeGeneres is a fine standup and a good talk-show host, but here she unsuccessfully tried to walk on Jerry Seinfeld's turf, without the supporting cast, writers or ideas.
Sister Sister -- Never watched it.
The Single Guy -- Was this the one with Ernest Borgnine as the doorman? He was the best thing about the show.
Caroline in the City -- Typical NBC formula comedy, a bit better than most.
Jeff Foxworthy -- "Seinfeld" for rednecks...er, make that "Ellen" for rednecks. (No, not in that sense.)
Steve Harvey -- Never watched it.
Spin City -- Like "Designing Women," a good sitcom with a few flaws.
Almost Perfect -- Don't recall it.
Suddenly Susan -- NBC formula crap...but Brooke Shields later redeemed herself with a really funny turn on "That '70s Show."
Sabrina the Teenage Witch -- Surprisingly enjoyable in its ABC years, so-so in its WB years, and nearly unwatchable once the aunts left.
Jenny -- Nothing special, and Ms. McCarthy showed me little in her recent turn on "Hope & Faith."
Fired Up -- Don't recall it.
Smart Guy -- Ditto.
Veronica's Closet -- Removed from the protective cover of the "Cheers"/"Frasier" stable, Kirstie Alley gets the NBC formula sitcom treatment. After this, I'd have gained weight too.
Teen Angel -- After "Sabrina's" initial success, ABC went with an array of fantasy sitcoms for TGIF. Trouble was, none of them had its charm.

The Facts of Life
Punky Brewster
Designing Women
Amen
A Different World
Martin
Living Single
The John Larroquette Show
The Nanny
Ellen
Spin City
You have GOT to be kidding me, these ones were mostly critically accalimed and well respected. Designing Women won several Emmy nominations and critical awards... Punky Brewster is considered a classic of children's television and The John Larroquette show was critically accalimed... Most of these shows were also huge ratings hits and ran for years, some even more than that. Facts of life ran for nearly a deacade. Surley there are worse sitcoms than ANY of the ones you listed. Sure some of these aren't the greatest, but they are nowhere near the worst ever made.... no way, in fact your list is a joke...
