I just went out and bought all four DVD collections currently available, and the show is as RAWs I remember.

But apparently, by the time we reach the fourth Season collection, censorship rears it's ugly head.

In the episode "My Brother-in-Law's Keeper", does anybody know what Fred originally said to his sister's husband Rodney when his lips are moving, but the words have been now silenced?

It's right when Rodney's begging Fred for money to go bet on a horse. Fred gets up and says to Rodney that's he's going to say something to him that his sister Francis should have said to him a long time ago...

"(Censored)...I dissagree with gambling, I disagree with you marrying my sister, and you disagree with my stomach"

Rodney goes storming out of the house.

I'm not a lip reader, but from the best I can tell, he called him a Jackass. But I'm not sure they'd censor that, since the term is used often throughout the series.

Any ideas? Are there any other censored pieces that I missed on these DVDs?

I'm watching this episode now and i didn't notice any censorship when Fred stood up. I refused to believe that a phrase or word was censored on DVD. That's something i would expect on Cable.

Watch this again. Redd's lips are moving, but nothing comes out.

Fred did alot of talking "under his breath". It added to the crankiness of the character.

No Marvin.
He is speaking outwardly, and directly to Rodney. At first I thought it was a synch problem with the DVD, but everything else he says in that passage is in perfect sycnch, as is the rest of the episode.

He is definitely saying something to Rodney that someone decided to censor. It's one of the more obvious cersor muted dialagues that Ive seen in a while. That's why I posted this thread.

My best attempt at lipreading, it looks like he calls him a jackass.

he says i'm going to tell you something that you should've been told a long time ago..then he mumbles...lamont says ohh boy...or here we go. I have the same episode on VHS tape from columbia house and it does the same thing. Only thing that makes sense is if he said i'm going to tell you something honkey..but he didn't say that.
