I would say "I Love Lucy" is a sitcom that's not on anyone's hate list.

It's a classic. It was pretty funny. It invented the "three camera" sitcom format that is the standard for today.

I don't really care for The Golden Girls but I wouldn't say I hate it. It just isn't something I've ever been interested in.

I've heard people say they don't like Three's Company but I've never heard them say:

I HATE Three's Company!

or

Three's Company is the worst show to EVER air on TV.

or

Everyone associated with Three's Company should burn in hell!

Like I've heard people say about other shows.

I don't despise this but I don't care for it either. Don Knotts was the only remarkable thing about it to me. Mayberry RFD is actually a bit more watchable than AGS.

I understand where you're coming from.
But I think you should give The Dick Van Dyke Show a chance, its the best sitcom of the decade, because it doesnt "feel" like the decade.
Its timeless and undated.

I disagree completey. The 1960's, I think, was the best decade for shows. Let's see you had: The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, Make Room For Daddy, Father Knows Best, Leave It To Beaver, The Donna Reed Show, Dennis the Menace, Bonanza, My Three Sons, The Andy Griffith Show, Mister Ed, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Lucy Show, My Favorite Martian, Petticoat Junction, The Patty Duke Show, Gomer Pyle, Bewitched, The Munsters, The Addams Family, I Dream of Jeannie, Green Acres, Get Smart, Gidget, Family Affair, The Monkees, The Flying Nun, Batman, Dragnet, Laugh-In, Here's Lucy, ect!
Quite entertaining, if you ask me.

I wouldn't say I HATE I Love Lucy, and I do respect it for its place in television history and its technical contribution to the sitcom format and TV in general, but I never liked the show. In fact, try as I might, I've never been able to endure sitting through an entire episode. I love TV and I love sitcoms but, for whatever reason, I've never loved Lucy. I don't know why.

One reason some people may not like ILL (im definately not one of them) is that its in black-and-white.
Not saying that B&W shows suck (they definately dont)
but some people irritate their eyes by watching something with only 2 color variations.

Most of these=boring. Even the ones that I can watch, like Leave it to Beaver, Mister Ed I still find boring compared to other decades. I used to watch My Three Son's and Family Affair a lot when TV Land first came on, but my tastes have been refined now and those shows wouldn't entertain me in the same way.

I did watch her later shows, and I didn't dislike them as much. I think The Lucy Show (if that's the one with Viv and the three kids -- sort of a Kate & Allie precursor) was my least un-favorite.

I know she was a talented individual, and a pioneer who made huge contributions to the world of television, but I just never warmed up to her. Go figure.

For what it's worth, I know it has nothing to do with the B&W issue since I watched them all that way. (My parents' TV was a 15" B&W, so I never saw anything in color -- except occasionally at a relative's house -- until I moved out, in 1979.) Besides, I happen to like B&W. :)

I dont record anything.
Im a DVD man myself.

Some people dislike family sitcoms in general -- so none of those would be "unhated".
And some people (sadly) throw off anything post-1979 as being crap.

And the 3 shows that have still gone unhated are all shows pre-79....
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Carol Burnett & Friends
The Odd Couple
