Is it true that she only did a walk-on part because at the time, she was tied-up w/ shooting "Showgirls!?"  I guess she figured that she was becoming "too big" of a star to fully go back to the show that put her on the map in the very first place. Kind of like when John Travolta was hardly in the final season of "Welcome Back Kotter" or when Ron Howard had pretty much little involvement in the last episode of "Happy Days" in 1984.

I believe she wanted a bigger part in the Wedding, but she had already agreed to do Showgirls and it was a much bigger opportunity for her...plus she wanted out of her SBTB image.

HHmm, I just think that she was busy filming Showgirls at the same time. I am glad they were able to add her in and I am also glad she made the time to shoot it. I just think and I believe I have heard, it was a conflict of schedules.

I don't think she wanted to be in the "Wedding In Las Vegas" any less than anyone. I'm sure she wanted to be part of the full show, but her shooting schedule for "Showgirls" must of been rough.

But what if she didn't want to be on "SBTB" because of "Showgirls"?... Can you really blame her?... She thought that film was going to make her a star because prior to "Showgirls" Joe Eszterhas and Paul Verhoeven were the "it" moviemakers- plus, they made Sharon Stone a star.
