View Full Version : When did you start watching That 70's Show?
burt gummer 05-21-2004, 01:56 PM I saw the pilot episode. The Simpsons was on at 8 at the time and That 70's Show's was on at 7:30. I decided to watch the show and thought it was pretty good. So I watched the 1st season off and on. Then by the beginning of season 2 I was hooked on the show.
DukeDevils9192 05-21-2004, 05:49 PM I watched most of the first season then pretty much stopped watching first-run episodes. Got hooked on syndication a little over a year ago and now, it's one of my all time faves.
Friendsfan#555 05-21-2004, 05:56 PM I first started watching re-runs. I think it was over the summer before season five. Then I got into the show in season five.
MonarC 05-21-2004, 06:13 PM I have been watching from the very begining. In fact I have also been recording the shows from the begining. I love this show. :D
Chain Gang Member 05-21-2004, 09:01 PM The episode where Kelso takes them up to the ice shack
AnaheimPMWitch 05-21-2004, 09:44 PM Ya know I dont remember :) I just remember watching it cause my sister told me it reminded HER of growing up because she could relate OF COURSE I had to watch *smirks*
dlemond 05-22-2004, 11:55 AM I watched the pilot when it first aired and kept watching.
Brian Damage 05-22-2004, 12:16 PM I started watching when it first debuted, then stopped watching because I was working when it was on. Now I am watching it in syndication and I'm loving it all over again.
PixieLicious 05-24-2004, 11:28 AM i remember seeing the preview for the show and wanting to watch it but i never actually knew when it came on. the only time i watched it is if i caught it on. but i regularly started watching at the end of fifth season and started taping the reruns so i could get caught up. i think i got pretty much all of the syndication episodes and working on the current seasons or u know next season now.
joecool 05-30-2004, 11:19 PM i liked it and would watch reruns and i watched it regularly in the fith season
it seems like alot of ppl started watching it during the fifth season :D  :p ;)
Luckymama58 05-31-2004, 07:50 AM I saw the promo and thought, OMG that is exactly how it was..... tee hee. Then I started watching the show from the beginning, but after about 3 seasons I couldn't catch it in first runs because of schedule changes (mine). I did pick it up in syndication and only occasionally catch a first run show. It still reminds me of growing up!
Céline 05-31-2004, 07:00 PM The first episode I saw is when Eric stole the Christmas tree:lol:
PixieLicious 06-01-2004, 11:06 AM i was born in 83 so i dont know what it was like in the 70s. but since watching this show id like to know how it was. it seems pretty cool but then again its just a show and life is way harder. lol as i was growing up though we had a lot of the 70s fashion and furniture lol cuz my parents are hippies.
Silver Bullet 06-01-2004, 02:17 PM When I saw the promos in '98. I loved every minute of that pilot show. I've been watching every episode since. I still watch the reruns on UPN everyday.

mila is#1 06-09-2004, 02:11 PM I started watching it last year in march. My first episode was Battle of the Sexist. Then i started watching the newer ones, I rememeber my first season 5 episode was Hey, Hey what can i do. I started watching through reruns and then got addicted.
PixieLicious 06-10-2004, 11:07 AM i remember the first episode i ever taped was garage sale :D but it got screwed up :(
Number 9 Dream 12-09-2005, 03:10 PM I watched it the first day it debuted in 1998...I remember because it was close to my 16th birthday and I was hanging at a friend's house when it came on. We loved it, but for some reason, I just didn't continue watching it religiously. I wasn't a fanatic about t.v. like I am now. A couple years later, I watched bits and pieces-- a week here, a week there. I guess my obsession for it sparked up right before the first DVD was released.
Disco_Lady 12-09-2005, 05:22 PM I was 10 or 11 when the show started, so I didn't watch it right away but I remember always thinking that it was funny. So a couple years past and I remember seeing "The Pill" as the first episode ever, not sure what year it was though.
But I started really getting into it at the end of the 5th season. Then by the 6th season I watched it almost all of the time. 'The Seeker' episode always has a start for when i started to become really into it.
snl 70s show fan 12-09-2005, 07:52 PM i watched bits and pieces of it off and on when it started but i didnt like it too much at first because i thought they acted too dumb and growing up in the 70s i pretty much remember how it was even tho i was a kid but then a few years ago i started watching again and as i got into the show i saw just how much it reminded me of people i knew from the 70s and now i cant ever get enough of this great show
Redd Foxx 12-14-2005, 05:52 PM I started watching re-run's probably a little less than 2 years ago. I own Season's 1-3 now. The show flipping rocks!
courtnyg 12-15-2005, 06:00 PM I started watching from the pilot, and I've never stopped. Some seasons were better than others, but I never stopped watching. I would occasionally miss an episode in season 5 or 6 when I wasn't loving the show as much and before we got our DVR. I haven't bought any of the DVD's, but with reruns airing on UPN, Fox, & FX you don't need to buy the DVD's as long as you have a DVR.
Rachel3118 01-06-2006, 04:11 PM I don't really remeber how I started watching it. One day I happend to see it on what I think was re-runs. My sister liked it and then I started watching it. Once I actually watched an episode all the way through I thought it was funny and I got hooked.
Adamantium 01-14-2006, 12:29 AM I watched the first season in it's original run for the first couple of months. Then I quit, always figuring I'd tape the show in syndication. When the first season set came out on DVD, I bought it, but didn't watch it. A little after Topher and Ashton announced they were leaving, I watch the DVDs. I was hooked. I watched both seasons on DVD and then watched Eric's final episode on FOX. I bought the third season on DVD and watched it. It wasn't until the Thanksgiving marathon on FX that I started watching it in reruns.
I'm currently watching the 8th season on FOX.
wayman 04-09-2006, 07:03 PM I bought Season One on DVD as a blind buy when it came out in 2004. I watched the first 3 episodes and then put the set aside and didn't watch any more. Last weekend I decided to give it another try and I started watching where I left off. I got hooked and I watched the rest of the season this past week and yesterday I went out and bought Season Two and have started that also. I plan to buy the remaining seasons. I don't know why it didn't hook me at first, but I'm glad I gave it another look as I really like this show!
Chain Gang Member 04-10-2006, 08:48 AM The first episode I watched was when they went to the ice shack. The one that really got me laughing was the episode where Red really came down on the kids
Fred G. Sanford 04-12-2006, 12:47 AM I started watching with the pilot back in 1998. Haven't watched a whole lot of this season's new episodes though because to me without Eric and Kelso, the show is just a hollow shell of it's former self. As much as I love the show, it seems to be lacking a lot of what made it fun in the past this season.
MonarC 04-16-2006, 11:54 PM I read about it before it even came out. And was waiting for the pilot to aire. I saw the pilot episode. Loved it and watched ever since.:)
DLevine2 05-06-2006, 08:33 AM I first started watching "That '70's Show" when I was flipping through the TV channel and I started watching it on FX. I got used to watching "That '70's Show" on FX or sometimes on Fox at 7:30pm. I watch the last season which is Season 8 on Fox. I will miss it when that show ends on the 18th of May.:(
The Good thing I will start watching it on FX. :)
Skywalker 05-08-2006, 01:29 AM When the pilot episode first aired back in August 1998. It quickly became one of my favorite shows and I watched it every week for the first 6 seasons.
tvfan0101 05-08-2006, 09:10 PM I caught the occasional episode on over the past few years but only really started watching it this year on FX and local syndication.
