I say Keenan. There's never been a black WU anchor before.

View Full Version : Who do you think should be the new "Weekend Update" anchor? Sitcomwriter 05-20-2004, 04:34 PM I say Keenan. There's never been a black WU anchor before. AKA 05-20-2004, 04:48 PM I say nobody. They should just cancel SNL and finally put it out of its misery. felicitylen 05-20-2004, 05:56 PM Originally posted by Sitcomwriter I say Keenan. Dean Winchester 05-20-2004, 06:28 PM Keenan seems way too nice for Weekend Update just let Tina be the sole anchorwoman *Pleasant Tomorrow* 05-20-2004, 08:58 PM I honestly have no idea. Whatever is fine, but Tina and Jimmy were kinda like this duo, it'd be weird with one of them missing. But I guess Tina alone would be pretty good. I can't really picture anyone else doing it. barwars 05-28-2004, 10:26 PM Originally posted by BuffySlayer79 Keenan seems way too nice for Weekend Update just let Tina be the sole anchorwoman ditto. And AKA.... I dont think they should kill SNL, maybe itll get a resurgence in 2005. Crapple 06-15-2004, 05:13 AM Parnell or Hammond with Tina. Preferably Hammond. Chambers 06-16-2004, 09:23 PM Tina can handle it on her own. Orville Kruger 06-16-2004, 09:34 PM Go for broke and hire Jon Stewart. Any Odd Couple fans here? I found some really funny OC related shirts and stuff. Odd Couple stuff (http://www.cafeshops.com/theoddcouple) TJL 06-16-2004, 10:25 PM Can I nominate myself in this category? ;) Pentimento 06-17-2004, 10:34 AM I agree that Tina could do it on her own. If she does have to have a partner, though, I wouldn't waste Keenan. It should be someone more bland, saving the actors more adept at wacky characterizations for the guest commentators and celebrity interviews. Brian Damage 06-17-2004, 10:39 AM Wait, what happened to Jimmy Fallon? Crapple 06-17-2004, 03:50 PM Originally posted by Pentimento I agree that Tina could do it on her own. He's probably the "blandest" of the cast. But I also think Hammond has a sort of newsman quality to him that could work nicely. I think he'd do good, but who knows what'll actually be the case once the new season rolls around.
