GH: Robin Mattson returns!

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Robin Mattson is returning as Heather Webber. The mag speculates that she seems to be the one stalking Skye. The actress says she is being kept in the dark about her storyline.

Robin Mattson left GH in 1983. The head writers said that an old fan favorite would be returning this summer, but I never would have thought it to be RM. They almost brought her back a couple years ago, but that was when Kin Shriner was still on the show. It makes no sense that they bring Heather back just a few months after they had Scotty leave.

it seems weird to me that Heather would be stalking Skye and framing Laura, since she never had any connection to the characters of Luke and Laura. I am anxiosuly waiting to see what happens with this development.

I've heard rumors that Scotty might be returning, if not for good, for at least a brief period of time.

Hey factsoflife, good to see your still around in soap land. You're right it would be weird if Heather is Skye's stalker, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was. They may have Heather be Skye's stalker just to have a way to bring Heather back to the show. Their making it look like Laura or Helena are the obvious choice for Skye's stalker, but I haven't heard anything about Genie Francis coming back - however I have a feeling Genie will return in the next year or so. Out of the 9 soaps, Robin Mattson should always be on one. She's such a great actress and one of the BEST soap villain actors. Haven't heard whether her stay at GH will be long-term or short-term.

Well i know that Robin is going to be on Recurring status, so my hunch is long-term. But the thing is that GH hardly ever uses there recurring players, seriously when do we ever see Felicia or Audrey? Not so sure about Francis, i'd be VERY SURPRISED to see her come back Jill Farren Phelps treated her so bad i'll bet Genie won't come back until JFP is GONE!

I think we're going to be seeing more of Audrey in the future because I heard they were going to age Tom Hardy's son and bring him back, which would give Audrey some probable screen time since he's her grandson. Audrey must have disowned Elizabeth or something. lol Plus Rachel Ames getting one of the Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Emmys this year probably helps in her getting more screen time now. In the summer preview for GH, they said that Felicia & Mac will actually have an upcoming story. Tony, Mike, & Helena are actually seen on a recurring basis. Now I wonder when did they drop Shell Kepler (Amy) all together? I knew she was just recurring the last few years but she seemed to have just been dropped off the show completely. The one recurring character I would love to see more of (although I wish she was a regular again!) is Denise Alexander, one of my all-time favorite actors. Her recurring role diminished somewhat when Genis Francis left, but she turned up on the Christmas episode last year. I had heard that they were going to age Lesley Lu and have her appear on screen more, so I think if they do that then we'll get to see Lesley more since she takes care of Lesley Lu. I would also like to see Lee & Gail back on GH, if only recurring, but as long as Scotty is gone, that doesn't look very hopeful. I hope the rumors about Kin Shriner maybe coming back are true. He never should have been forced to leave in the first place. Also, where the hell is Bobbie? lol

Hmm... Audrey getting more screen-time would be great but i don't think it will happen. I mean Bobbie is Carlys mother and did we see her once when Carly was in a coma? Or when Micheal dissappeard? nope. Not more than once. She used to be on ALL the time. Mike yes hes seen on a fairly reuglar basis. Don't get me started w/ Tony, they just DESTROYED that character. Amy is a character you mentioned, I AGREE they need her back. They dropped her all together when they shifted the focus completley away from the hopspital to the dang mob drama that has become the center of the show. Helena is not shown very often, in fact this is the first time in about 2 years that we've even seen Helena. And these are characters that were once FRONT-BURNER! I cannot stand what Jill Farren Phelps and Guza/Pratt have done to "GH". At least when JFP was paired w/ Megan McTavish we saw characters other than Sonny/Carly/Jason/Courtney. We got to see the Quatermaines and we got archs w/ Luke and Laura and so on. Now if it aint connected to Sonny/Carly/Jason/Courtney/Sam we don't see them. Luke has become a dishevled, charicture of his former self, he's nothing w/out Laura! Emily has become a total brat, selfish and annoying.We hardly ever see the Q's anymore, except a rare scene w/ Tracey and sometimes even rarer Monica and Alan! Prior to her death Anna Lee was reduced to less than one scene a month. And now the new Edward is almost never on.


The Dillion/Georgie story is cute, but this whole sage thing is already so one-note and boring, its a total replay of the Jagger/Karen/Brenda story of some 10 years ago!

We have characters with no points- Alcazar? what point does he have now? Him and Carly are OVER and do we really need so many people that hate Sonny? we have Rick, Faith, Alcazar, Jax and just about everyone else in town.

We have great characters that we never see- Alexis once a strong, INDEPENDANT women who left Ned at the alter because she didn't want to give up her independance is now a shreiking, hysterical, flaky school-girl.

Felicia and Mac are almost never on. What is the point of Kristina Wagner returning if shes never seen? Speaking of, why don't we see Maxie more often?

Also for a show called GENERAL HOSPITAL we don't see many doctors or nurses.

I have to agree 100% with your GH "rant" factsoflife. Now, if only you were Executive Producer of GH we would have a great show to watch. Neglecting the veterans is unfortunately happening at the other soaps as well, with the exception of Y&R. There's a reason they got Best Series at the emmys: fast-paced story-telling & they give the vets their own storylines as well as the younger set. I only get to watch Y&R occasionally, but I read the synopses everyday, enough to know that its the best soap on the air right now. GH and the other soaps need to take a cue from Y&R and get back on the right track. I've always watched mostly ABC soaps and right now they all need some new leadership to get these shows back to what they once were.

Back to General Mobspital, they definately need to get some new writers & producers in there and take the focus of the show back to where it started --- in the hospital. Now I'm hearing that Robyn Richards (Maxie) is talking with DAYS to take over the role of Belle when Kirsten Storms leaves this summer. I'd hate to see Robyn go, but look at how much more screentime Lindze Letherman is getting than she is. Maxie should be the one with her own storyline not Georgie. Just like John Ingle, Robyn was been with GH for 11 years and is being treated like just another day player. John Ingle may be a lot more suited for the role of Edward Q rather than Mickey Horton, but at DAYS he at least has his own storyline. If Robyn Richards gets the job on DAYS, I say more power to her.

Didn't she play "Janet Green" from AMC? And whatever happened to Janet?:)

Yes Robin Matteson played Janet "From Another Planet" Marlowe Green Dillion on "All My Children" for many, many years. The last we saw Janet she has left town w/ her then husband Trevor Dillion and children Timmy and Amanda. A few years later, Timmy, recasted resurfaced in Pine Valley w/out his parents or sister in order to give a bone-marrow donation to his cousin Lola(?), who was Mateo and Haylee's daughter, and was sick with A-Plastic Anemia, a rare blood diease that is rapant in the soap opera children community (OLTL's starr had it once and so did GH's Leslie Lu). While he was in town there was hinting that Janet may have been up to her old tricks and may have gone Crazy. That story dissapeared when Timmy fell off the face of the earth. At one point there was a possibility of Timmy getting involved w/ Maggie or possibly Greenlee, but nothing ever materialized.
