I dig a few songs from Jagged Little Pill. Other than that, eh.

I liked Jagged Little Pill. She went downhill from there, in my opinion.

I agree. The girl has a lot of talent though. Much more than most of these other female singers.

That's sort of the same way I feel. Though she sounded pretty good on the Howard Stern show this morning. She did a couple of acoustic numbers, including her current single. Not bad.

Yeah, Jagged Little Pill was great, but now Alanis makes Avril Lavigne sound like an actual musician.

am I the only one who liked Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie? It didn't sell 1/4th what Jagged Little Pill did, but there was a lot of great music on that album.

I have a tape of her first album Jagged Little pill.
I liked the song Thank You from her second.
I think her voice is sharp (in a good way)

If that the one that had "Thank You" on it?... If it is, I don't blame myself for not buying it. The first single was just terrible, and so was the video.

Speaking of Alanis's videos. . . remember the nuns in the video for "One Hand In My Pocket?" I know one of the actresses who played them! I swear I am not making this up! I've never even seen the video, and I didn't even know about it until she told me she was in it! :)

yep, that's the one

It's a shame the album stiffed, but I guess you can blame Maverick for picking the wrong choices. Unsent, the second single, KILLED the album. It is a good song, but for an album as hotly anticipated as Alanis, it turned programmers off. Then when the radio-friendly third single "So Pure" came out, it went nowhere. It's a shame because I think had So Pure been the second single, the album would've been more successful, I doubt it would've sold 16 million like Jagged, but it would've held on a bit longer than it did

"Unsent" was the second single. It was the one where she was singing about all her ex's, like as a poem. The song is decent, but it's one of those that sounds a lot better when listening to the album, and doesn't really sound good on the radio.

Yes, So Pure was the dancing one. I think had that been the second single, instead of Unsent, the album would've fared better.

Her new album is pretty good. Certainly better than Under Rug Swept.

So Pure didn't do well... because Unsent killed the momentum of Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. However, I do think had So Pure come second, instead of Unsent, it would've been quite a bit more popular
