The following statement was issued today by the ABC Television Network on the passing of actor Tony Randall:
Tony Randall was a cherished member of the ABC Television primetime family from 1970 to 1975, bringing impeccable comedic wit and timing to his Emmy Award-winning performance as Felix Unger on “The Odd Couple.” Like the Unger role with which he became synonymous, Tony Randall was unique and a classic. His longstanding career achievements consistently brought talent and intelligence to the entertainment industry in television, film and theater. Like his millions of other fans, all of us at ABC will miss him, and our thoughts and prayers now go out to his family.
