On Darlene and David's wedding day he tells David that he was kicked out of the house at age 16.

Wasn't Becky only like 16 1/2 when she got birth control pills which would mean that Mark was having sex with her when he was at least 18. That's statuatory.

We can't nickpick about practically anything on this show... If you follow the months, Darlene would have been pregnant only 6 months, which means that the Christims and Halloween episodes are in the wrong month. (in the show)

And there's the whole Kevin/David thing. So obviously the writers have made mistakes.

What makes Marks age even more wierd is that in reality it was him and Darlene! Now THAT'S an age difference!!! I don't really like to think of the final speech when I'm watching the earlier episodes though. Everything outside of the ninth season I treat as reality when I'm watching and then during the ninth season I do like to remember that speech to help me get through it without thinking of how phony it is because it was just all made up by Roseanne Conner.

When I say reality, I don't mean really reality. Well, you know what I mean...

In response to Dogma, it is illegal for a person 18 and older to have sex with a person younger than 16. I just took a health class so I know that for sure.

I was living on my own at 17, and was still in high school. ;)

I think it ment that david was mark and mark was david..MEaning that david was older than mark and mark was YOUNGER than david.

:) the writers didnt make a mistake.they were planning to name johnny galecki david on roseanne, but on the other show he played on his name was david.then in 1992 the other show was cancelled,so the writers on roseanne went back to the david idea.i hoped this helped ya.

Yes, it is considered statutory rape BUT, Rosanne took Becky to get the birth control pills so that was parental consent.
