After having watched the ABC-special "A life of laughter - Remembering John Ritter" again last night, I just realized how much I still miss him and wish he would still be part of 8 simple rules...

The special also reminded me of the song "When I Look To The Sky" by Train, as it is played at the end. When I found out that there is no music video to the song (at least I think there is none, I found no information about that on the net), I took the time last night and edited a little, 4 minute long tribute music video for John, as a little special for my Season 2 VideoCD box (i saved all the episodes so far), as the Season is ending today.

Now I would like to share this video with you, because I think that there are a lot of people out here who still miss John as much as I do.

The video is in .wmv (windows-media-video) format, so there should be no problems with any windows pc.

The filesize is 10 MB, which takes about 23 minutes to download with a 56k modem, for broadband connections it will only take a few minutes.

You can either watch it online (not recommended for modem users) or save it to your hard drive and watch it when it's downloaded. For doing this, right click on the link below and select "save target as..."

Thank you ever so much for sharing that beautiful tribute to a beautiful man. That was so endearing and so sad though*sniff* I still miss John Ritter so much that it still hurts. I know others feel the same way I do. 8SR isnt the same anymore without him.

i cant upload the whole special, because it's about 40mins and i don't have enough webspace to host that.

but if you want it, i can set up a private (adsl) server for you to download or i can try to cut out some katey sagal clips from there, but she's in it pretty often so i dont know, this might be a large file as well then

€dit: you can check this thread (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=110397) for more infos

Most of you will know by now , John did not win :( , Kelsey Grammer "Frasier" won. I thought that if John did not win it would be Matt LeBlanc , because Frasier although funny in parts is not a show to watch.(IMO)

katefandream04

I wish he would have won...it meant so much to all of his fans and the 8SR Cast, along with his friends...Frasier was not exactly the best show,so I don't see why they had to nominate Kelsey Grammer.:(

That song also reminds me of John also. I really don't even watch '8 Simple Rules' anymore. It's just not the same without him ohno: :( :jack Always miss you John :candle: Another song that reminds me of him is, ' Remember Me This Way' (from the Casper movie). If you ever hear it, listen to the words, it sounds just like him.

Aww, that's sweet. I think i kinda remember that song. What are the lyrics? Another song that reminds me of him is "I Will Remember You".
If I can remember all the words to 'Remember Me This Way' they are:
'Every now and than, we find a special friend, who never lets us down.
Who understands it all, reaches out each time you fall, your the best friend that I found'
'I know you can't stay, a part of you wil never ever go away, your heart will stay'. I'll make a wish for you, and hope it will come true. That life will just be kind, to such a gentle mind'. If you lose your way, think back on yesterday, remember me this way. Oh, remember me this way.'
I don't need us to see, the love you bring to me, no matter where I go. And I know that you'll be there, forever more a part of me your everywhere. I'll always care.
'I'll make a wish for you, and hope it will come true . That life will just be kind to such a gentle mind. If you lose your way, think back on yesterday, remember me this way, remember me this way.
And I'll be right behind your shoulder watching you.I'll be standing by your side in all you do.And I'll never leave, as long as you believe, you just believe.

That's about the whole song. I was getting chocked up typing it. This man has brought so much love and laughter to everyone, and thanks to syndication, he continues to do so. :jack
