as someone who detests all things American Idol, I am happy there's a parody of it coming out. The minute people started talking AI too seriously was the moment that people began needing an American Idol parody.

I haven't been watching that american idol spoof, and it's better I not. it annoyed me to no end just finding out about it. in fact, I read a news article on netscape.com that producers lied about someone on the show being terminally ill (cancer) just to get people to watch the show. that's pretty low

they're re-airing the first two episodes on friday I think.. I'm gonna watch it then.

Its about mean judges picking the worst singer of all time. The people that sign up to be on it are kind of stupid, though! :lol: Why would you want to be humilated on national TV?

Superstar USA is entertaining, which is what a television series should be.

As opposed to people outcrying racism or whatever when someone they like gets voted off American Idol.

Ever stopped to think people get just a tad TOO passionate about AI? All it does is turns those of us who don't like the show in the first place even more off to it. I didn't watch it from the beginning, but I went from "not having an interest in the show" to "I despise all this show is about" when Tamira or whatever her name was voted off the first season, and on a few message boards I went to, a few people kept going on about "she was voted off because she was black!!! According to Tamyra supporters, evil racist Klansmen gathered around the phonelines to get her voted out because "America is not ready for a black superstar" (despite the fact that Nelly had the #1 album and single the same week). I mean, IT'S STAR SEARCH WITH A DIFFERENT NAME!!! The way it's fans started taking it so seriously and started reacting when their fave was voted off like someone punched them in the chest completely turned me off to the show.

and sorry, Paula Abdul has no right to judge other people for their singing talent!! She was the original Jennifer Lopez

and those are just a few reasons why I am HAPPY Superstar USA's come on.... because American Idol deserves to be mocked
