I actually think that is a good move-moving it away from AI. Where did you hear this from?

also if 8sr airs on friday along with hope & faith.....that would just be awesome and it would keep ratings for both shows up

But what about Joan of Arcadia?? If 8 Simple Rules is on at 8:00 or if it's gonna be on TGIF then how am I gonna watch both shows? Don't get me worng..but I love em' both! This is the problem for me.

With ABC's Fall Schedule only hours away, I am still confused on the scheduling of the sitcoms.

I suppose the new TGIF will be:

8:00 George Lopez
8:30 8 Simple Rules
9:00 Hope and Faith
9:30 New Sitcom

I think it would be totally rude to have
8 Simple Rules go head to head with Jason's show.

Yeah, I just hate that the two shows are up against each other. It figures that my two favorite shows would have to go up against each other. :rolleyes: Oh, well, I'll just have to tape one and watch it later I suppose.

Hey I posted ONCE in this topic. I don't think 8 SImple Rules's cast will let their shwo go on Fridays cause they know that Joan of Arcadia's on Fridays. What do ya think? Why wouold it be on Friday's if they usally tape on Fridays?? I think the good day for 8SR is on MOnday.

I posted about that too, and I don't think it's right at all. If they want to improve their ratings they should make the show better and not the timeslot. I'm sorry, but if it's between 8 Simple Rules and Joan of Arcadia, I'm definitely going to watch Joan of Arcadia. It is by far the superior show IMO.

8 Simple Rules will be on at 8/7c Fridays this Fall.

CBS hasn't announced its fall line-up yet. Early word was that Joan was on the move to Sundays at 8, and Cold Case moving to Fridays at 10. ABC has had moderate success this season with TGIF, and they believe 8 Simple Rules can be a better starter than George Lopez. Also, now 8 Simple Rules doesn't have to worry about its ratings falling every Jan-May, because of American Idol.

I didn't know that about JoA, that would be wonderful news. :)

I really love both shows -- I'd be hard pressed to find a show on today that I enjoy any more. However, personally, I think it's kind of hard to compare the two, because they're so different (sitcom based in reality versus a drama whose title character has conversations with God). Just my opinion. :)

Watch 8 Simple Rules this fall and TiVo or record Joan of Arcadia.

Smarter plot, fresher stories, better character development, these are just some of the reasons why I've compared the two and why I prefer Joan of Arcadia. I only watched 8 Simple Rules for John Ritter's sake anyways.
