Kathleen Freeman played Noreen Grisbee, the secretary, in the last two episodes

#208 The Beginning of the End Part 1 and
#209 The Beginning of the Beginning Part 2

She died some time in the past year. I had not realized that. I found out last night when I was watching the Emmy's.

You know the part of where they show the pictures of the people who had died during the year, well they showed a shot of Kathleen when she was on Facts of Life.

Just wondering if anybody knew that she had died this year and when she died?

I did notice that!! I wasn't sure that the clip was from some show I knew... DUH! I don't know how she died, but she was known for secretary/maid/mail-lady/whatever minor role. She was in several films in the 1960s and 70s. Although she was never a "big" actress, she was easily recognized.

*Look at me, You may think you see who I really am, but you'll never know me. Every day it's as if I play a part. Now I see if I wear a mask, I can fool the world, but I cannot fool my heart. Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me? When will my reflection show who I am inside? I am now in a world where I have to hide my heart, and what I believe in. But somehow, I will show the world what's inside my heart, and be loved for who I am.

Man you're slow http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

I realized it right off the bat who she was. I recognized the scene and everything. I guess it's because I've seen those episodes a bunch.

Nat: What are bananas doing on a Palm Tree?
Blair: The bird needed something to sit on. Besides, I wanted a splash of color.
Jo: You want color? Shoot the bird!

Did you know that she died while playing Jeanette in The Full Monty on broadway? Not actually on stage, but sometime during the week. My friend saw her in that like a week before she died.

I saw The Full Monty in August, and Kathleen Freeman was in it. She was wonderful and will be missed alot. She was most known as playing the gang's side-kick in The Blues Brothers movies, and had a regular role in The Beverly Hillbillies.
