Out of these choices, what do you think is the most overrated TV Land show:

- Gunsmoke (been airing non-stop since network's debut)
- Leave It To Beaver (Perhaps, the show that has aired the most on TV Land)
- The Andy Griffith Show (Has always gotten the 'better treatment')
- The Munsters (been on and off TV Land since 1997, possibly the show has been brought back the most)
- Cheers (new show from a different era)
- Family Ties (new show from a different era)

why not list all shows on Nick's schedule?

Why are you so biased against shows from the past 25 years? You do know that when shows like Welcome Back Kotter, Mary Tyler Moore and Taxi came onto N@N 10 years ago, they were actually newer (at the time) than Cheers or Family Ties is today, right? Taxi came to N@N in 1994, it was 16 years old at the point... Murphy Brown (which is coming to the schedule in Jan 2005) and Roseanne premiered 16 years ago as well. Why is one different from the other? Mork And Mindy was only like 12-13 years old when it came to N@N for the first time in 1991.

I dont see how any list regarding "overrated" shows on TVLand can skip over I Love Lucy.... but of course, this is just disguised as "rate the shows LucyFan hates list"

But anyways, Id say Gunsmoke simply because its the only show you listed that I dont like.
Other than that there'll are great.

And a show being from a "different era" has nothing to do with being overrated.
Get over it -- shows from the 80s are airing on TVLand (rightfully so).... and theres nothing you can do about it.

Exactly.

I'm tempted to start a poll asking which of LucyFan's favorite shows is the most awful. I think either Baby Talk or Life With Lucy would top the list.

What I don't understand is she has Family ties on the underrated list, and the overrated list, you can't have it both ways

didn't you know there's a missing first 1981-1982 season that LucyFan somehow acquired the rights to and brainwashed us into thinking it started in 82 instead because she bought and burned the prints :( that was quite mean of you :(

LOL

I find it rather funny that you consider two shows of your favorite shows to be overrated.
Sort of an oxymoron if you ask me.

They cant be overplayed -- and you still like them.
But overrated -- and liking them?? Doesnt make too much sense.

OMG that makes no sense  They're overrated and she likes them, so she does seem to hate two of her favorite shows

It may appear that way to you, but maybe that's not the true story. I just listed them as CANDIDATES.

All of them

I hope that Tv Land would go back to it's original concept of airing classic tv shows that have not been seen in syndication for a long time...

That makes the two of us . . . better yet, Nick at Nite should do the same too!

Family Ties Forever!

Yeah, for once lets turn this around. Good idea.

Ok... Out of the I Love Lucy series of shows which do you hate the most?

I Love Lucy
The Lucy Show
Lucy and Desi(spelling?)
and any Lucy Shows I'm not familiar with or don't remember the name of.

LucyFan,
You really shouldn't start topics like this because as you can see sometimes they can come back to bite you.

Out of the original list...Gunsmoke and The Munsters.

I could have easily guessed that Family Ties and Cheers would have been on LucyFan's list without even clicking on this thread..

Yes, everybody knows about how you feel about TV Land, Family Ties, and Cheers. This is so old it isn't even funny anymore.

The ONLY reason LucyFan started this thread was because he wanted to rag on Family Ties and Cheers some more. He might deny it, but we all know this was the sole purpose of the of thread. I think the best thing to do is just to ignore all of the threads he starts and bumps up from now on, because he likes to get everyone worked up - that was his game plan from the day one. Just don't pay him any attention and he'll eventually shut up - as is the case with most trolls on this site.

You say you agree that TVLAND should be a network that airs classic shows that haven't been widely seen in syndication, yet ILL is one of your favorite shows. ILL has been played to death, imo, it needs to be given a rest. I think it'd be nice if TVLAND has some more variety, and I don't care when the shows are from 50s-80s it doesn't matter.

And out of the list for most overrated shows, I'm going to have to go with I love Lucy! :) :)

Why should Nick have to as well??? That's why they created TVLAND. I think the shows Nick airs aren't too current, it's not like they're airing Seinfeld, Friends or Frasier

well, they air Wings and will be airing Fresh Prince soon.... Seinfeld premiered around the same those did..

but I agree with you. I think the only problem is that shows seem to not be given enough time to be "vintage" as they used to. When Family Ties, Facts Of Life and Diff'rent Strokes went to N@N, it'd been about 3-4 years since they'd been aired on any channels... whereas Roseanne (tho I love the show), Full House and Cosby Show have never truly been off the air. They were all on TBS at least 6 months before Nick began airing them. And then the shows that HAVEN'T been aired in awhile that Nick acquires are the ones they treated like crap and relogated to 4 am (Head Of The Class, Perfect Strangers, etc...)

Out of that list, I voted for Gunsmoke. I cannot stand any shows in the westerns genre. After Gunsmoke, the other most overrated show on that list (IMO) is The Andy Griffith Show, followed by Leave It to Beaver.

That is just how warped LucyFan is. Thinking N@N and TV Land should be the same would make one of them unnecessary.
