What was the first friends episode you ever watched?

Mine was the TOW Ross' New Girlfriend. My sister got the second season DVD and I decided to sit down and watch one episode and I ended up watching half the season that night.

The Pilot on it's original air date, first thing in 1994. I've been with this show from the beginning.

The pilot, which I thought was atrocious. I tried three more eps and gave up. Then a year goes by and there's all this buzz, tv guide, magazines, entertainment shows, the big premiere of season 2 with Ross getting off the plane. So I'm like ok I'll give them one more shot. It was the ep where Chandler blows it, Joey is a giving lover, and Rachel goes to the airport. Thought it was hilarious, the show had really improved. Since then top-notch. But still in watching the season 1 eps I missed, I can't stand them. The writing just wasn't there for me...yet.

I am very stubborn when it comes to new shows. I usually think they're going to be stupid and not going to last. So I didn't watch Friends from the beginning. A friend of mine told me it was pretty good but that still didn't convince me. Then when George Clooney & Noah Wyle were going to appear on it, being a fan of George, I watched this episode-The One With Two Parts. I thought the exchange between Monica as Rachel and Rachel as Monica when they were telling the guys about each other was hilarious!! I just knew they had to put that in the clip show. So since then, I've been watching it.

I watched the pilot in the original airing too. I'm also skeptical when it comes to new shows, and I thought the pilot was just OK. But then I tuned in the following week...and the week after that ...and then I was hooked. Eventually, I lost interest in the show but still watched ocassionally. I did miss the finale, however. I don't think I've ever seen a sitcom's finale in the original airing. I always manage to miss them.

I'm not sure what the episode is called but it is one when Ross has one of the guys post it on the internet that he died to get people to notice him. Then they have a fake party and Ross hides in the bathroom and then comes out.

I moved to Cleveland on Sep. 10, 1994, and I didn't get cable installed right away -- I think -- so I might've missed the pilot, and possibly the second one as well.

"The Pilot"
when it first aired on TBS.

I was interested at first, but soon lost all desire to watch it.
It became one of my least favorite shows.

Then, I watch the finale on NBC, and really started to like, I bought Seasons 1 and 2 immediately, bought Season 3 a few weeks ago, and bought Season 4 today.
It's now one of my favorites.

The pilot when it first aired in the UK.
I knew didn't think it was a great show, but the more I watched, the more I realized how funny it was.

I had seen random episodes in syndication, not sure which one I saw first. Then when it was released on DVD I bought it, and the rest is history. It is now my #1 show of all time!

I saw TOW Rachel is Late when I was about seven, but I don't really think that counts. When I really discovered the show it was a few years after it ended. I was thirteen and I went to a friend's house. My friend had borrowed the fifth season DVDs from her cousin, and my real first episode was The One in Vegas. I have now seen every single episode at least twice, and seasons three, five, and eight countless times. One of my closest friends owns all the seasons (she got the whole thing off eBay for pretty cheap), and another friend has Friends SceneIt (that's a fun game). It's my favorite show ever, and I  it!

I don't remember what the first episode I saw was because I would only watch it sometimes in reruns and I never saw it originally because I was only 3 when it started. Then I started watching it all the time this past summer. So I think I might have seen TOW the Proposal or TOW the Cop pretty early.

i think you're talking about "the one with the memorial service"

I had always loved the Friends theme song, so I decided to listen to it, then change the channel. But as soon as the credits were over, the show started and nothing else was on TV, so I decided to watch. (I will never regret that decision!)

It was either "The One Where They All Turn Thirty" or "The One Hundreth" but I'm pretty sure it's "Thirty"
