Last week I bought Donna Summer's greatest hits CD. The other day on the radio I realized that in Beyonce's "Naughty Girl" she has the exact same "love to love ya baby" that Donna has in her song. Are those supposed to be original lyrics by Beyonce?

If you heard the Chi-Lites "Are You My Woman" you'll know where the horn line from "Crazy In Love" comes from, and if you heard Prince's "If I was Your Girlfriend" you'll know where that line on "03 Bonnie & Clyde" comes from. So basically it's not so much Beyonce copying Donna Summer or anyone else as much as it's the current common usage of older lyrics and melodies as reference points in current singles.

Is this the same Donna that wouldn't allow Madonna to cover one of her songs a few years back? Wow! You'd think she'd reject Beyonce right out the box.

I heard that song on the radio. That song "Naughty Girl" by Beyonce featuring "Love to Love You Baby" the one she was making fun of Donna Summer. I love the original "Love to Love You Baby" since it came out in 1976 and I actually love the 16-minute version. I don't like the short version either.:) Here is the picture of Donna Summer's first album. I told you the original song was clocked at 16:48.

 You do realize that using a line from an older song does not equate "making fun of" someone, don't you?

yep, I highly doubt that if Beyonce was to make fun of the song, that Donna and Giorgio Moroder would not have allowed it

No offense, but Beyonce blows and her dad is a narcissistic pimp.
