View Full Version : How often do people flirt with you?
Michael [hXc] 05-14-2004, 08:20 PM Weird topic, I know, but around here, my friends and I are thinking a lot about this stuff. How often do people try flirting with you? This is not how often you do, but how often others try to with you. My choice is sometimes.
TheHappyBurgerMeister 05-14-2004, 08:28 PM I never flirt. I'm a 20 year old female and you'd think I would because most people my age do, but I don't. Heck, I can barely even talk to guys, I'm so shy.
Mrs. Ducky 05-14-2004, 08:41 PM I voted sometimes.
Hollow 05-14-2004, 08:50 PM ugh, too often. i hate being considered hot, and i dont even know why i am. i've had too many guys harrassing me this year. i've stopped wearing makeup and im taking less care of myself because of it, and it's gotten better. i play 'hard to get' as much as POSSIBLE. theres a a few in particular who just wont ****ing leave me alone. whenever they say hi to me i tell them to **** off and they dont stop. it's especially one in particular... UGH. today i walked by him and he was like "you're hot" and i said i dont give a ****. yesterday we all had to go to the front of the classroom to get a paper and he handed one to me and i said "i can get my own" and got one. *******. he knows i hate him and apparently he thinks annoying me is gonna get me to like him. like that will ever happen, he's an ugly ass****. and theres another one that's lived next door to me for the past 10 years or so, ew hes so ****ing fat. he tries to hit on me and i always completely ignore it because he always tries to provoke me to playfully get mad at him and i stand there and do nothing. in yo face, ******.

You should tell on him. Tell your principal that he's sexually harrassing you.
Michael [hXc] 05-14-2004, 09:00 PM There's this girl I know who has no boyfriend, yet she is so hot, so I don't understand why.

Maybe she just doesn't have the time for a boyfriend, that's why I don't have one.
Michael [hXc] 05-14-2004, 09:23 PM Maybe she needs more attention. I feel the urge to volunteer
Georgia's on my Mind 05-14-2004, 10:25 PM very often
Ewan's My Man 05-14-2004, 11:57 PM I get hit on by a LOT of older guys, I look older than I am. I used to be a HUGE flirt too, but now that I have a boyfriend, I've definitely been cutting down on that ;).
Lady T 05-15-2004, 12:05 AM I hate going to bars or clubs and being attacked by a bunch of drunk men; too much attention makes me very nervous,so to prevent it, I usually go around not wearing anymake-up, or not wearing anything that might attract un-wanted attention...

Exactly! I just hate it when people in my class say that they need a boyfriend.
AtlantaBravesFan29 05-15-2004, 12:19 AM I don't really think that it is an approriate subject for a 12 year old to talk about on here. I think that it is for something like school or something.
Things have sure changed,12 year olds talking about flirting.
G-Force Glockstar 05-15-2004, 12:30 AM Never....but this boy use to like me, but he's just my friend now.

Things have sure changed,12 year olds talking about flirting. I agree...it's bull. You're still a kid, why would you want to get involved in that stuff yet? It's just wasting your childhood. I'm still not ready for a boyfriend and I'm 15...and I still have awhile. I don't need to flirt or any of that crap. I'm doing just dandy.
Titania 05-15-2004, 12:39 AM often, probably because i enjoy flirting just for the sake of flirting...i have a lot of guy friends w/ whom i just "flirt for sport."
and i have this problem w/ old men where i feel bad for them so ill smile or something just to be nice and then they flirt w/ me.
timely topic- at a drama festival today i managed to flirt w/ 2 gay guys, a valay parker (who i took a picture of!!), and a guy from NJ who i told i was stalking him...
dawsongirl 05-15-2004, 01:05 AM Sometimes, but it's never anyone I'd be interested in. Some 40 year old dude hit on me once. That was disturbing...not because of his age, but he was just gross.
Me on the other hand...I tend to flirt. I don't know if anyone else would call it flirting, but I do. Hell, I flirt with this guy at work, and he's married. :o Not that I want to go out with him or anything, he's just a nice guy.

A lot of people have told me I'm pretty, yet I'm 24 and have ALWAYS been single. I know I'm shy...and I went to school with the biggest *******s on the planet...and I'm too picky...okay, I just proved why. I'm a bitch. I also tend to act like a bitch toward a guy who likes me and I don't like. Ask my sophomore year Homecoming date. :o

I had a boyfriend when I was in 7th AND 8th grades. Two different ones. -_- I wasn't even mature enough to date. I was one of those girls that kept saying they needed to have a boyfriend. Sheesh, what was I thinking?
Janice 05-15-2004, 01:34 AM The guy that works the deli at my grocery store sort of flirts with me. I don't see him act that way with others ahead of me. Guys flirt here and there. It's flattering. I'll miss it when it stops.
I'm not a flirt, but I'm friendly, so some guys may take it the wrong way. There's only one man for me, and that's my wonderful husband.
dandelion wine 05-15-2004, 01:43 AM Quite often and more often than not, it's from men who are older than me. I don't let it go to my head or anything, but it's always flattering. :)

That's what I was going to say. People may assume that since she's attractive, she wouldn't be the type of person you could walk up to and expect her to give you the time of day. Which they shouldn't automatically assume.

That was you? Sorry, I get a little uninhibited when I'm drinking.
There are many subtle signs women display that show interest; smile, eye contact, body language, looking interested in what you have to say...
When that actually happens, I'll let you know.
;)
~Teddybear~ 05-15-2004, 10:40 AM I hate it when old men flirt with me! It's not flattering at all unless a cute boy around my age does it... My mom told me to act like a b**** around older men, but I'm too nice, so I smile and keep walking...but now I'm just sick of it because it's so discusting... I already don't like alot of attention from boys, so I try to stop looking "hot" by wearing no makeup, a ponytail, no jewlry, and big clothes and stuff...but hell it doesn't seem to work...and all boys are the same anywayz...
Nanny Fine 05-15-2004, 12:45 PM Not very often. I've had a couple comments from guys in the last week about how much weight I've lost and they told me I looked good but it's not very often. I have a hard time talking to guys anyhow so that doesn't help.

I would give anything to have that.
Brent88 05-15-2004, 09:57 PM I've seen it a couple of times, mainly from really nice girls my age. :happyface
I'm not into that stuff yet, but it's nice to know when I do get into it I shouldn't have trouble finding someone.
Rockapella722 05-15-2004, 10:03 PM There's a cute-ish guy at work who does. But he flirts with everyone. I like knowing he's not serious, though, cuz I can flirt back and get to feel more comfortable with doing so.
Michael [hXc] 05-15-2004, 10:05 PM As my mother says, "If you flirt with everyone, it isn't real flirting".
LucyCompanyPhan 05-16-2004, 12:05 PM recently I've hit on alot. I keep trying to expect it to happen but it always takes me off guard. I was at my locker and I even looked really bad, I had my glasses on, my outfit wasn't very classy and this guy in one big breath says "heyhowareyouwhats your namecanigetyournumber" I didn't even look at him, I just turned him down. I see him everyday at the same time by my locker, he hasn't talked to me since. And this past week, this guy came up to me twice cos his friend wants my number. Am I really gonna give my personal number to someone who I don't even know what he looks like or who he is. I'd have to say the weirdest time I got hit on was just like 3 days ago when I was walking through the halls and this really fat guy says to me, 'hey your that redhed girl, do i have the prefect man for you." then he seriously SCREAMED this into some classroom "HEY PAUL, HEY COME HERE. THE GIRL IS OUT HERE' I seriously spirited down the hall. I mean, that totally took me off guard, everyone was staring at me & I was scared to see who this guy is." I can't until monday to see if this paul appoachs me cos apparently hes the 'prefect man' for me. Being in high school, I really don't trust any guy, its bigger so you don't know everyone & you don't know if they wanna get in your pants or do drugs or what they're all about. I'm really cautious about high school guys. What ever happen to getting to know someone before you ask them out?!?!

But anyways, people flirt with me sometimes (not quite sure why).... and I flirt back.
But it never leads to anything.
Its just for kicks.

I remember you telling me about that. It happens every now and then but then again, they figure I'm about their age, or at least close enough.

Michael [hXc] 05-17-2004, 04:09 PM Is this flirting? I tell all sorts of things to this one girl and nobody else (except my friends), and we always talk to each other about whatever (and people think it's flirting)

No, it's called trust. You obviously trust her and it's no different than if it's a guy. Who says it's flirting? One of your other friends? And if you tell it to your other friends than doesn't just mean that you're friends with her?
Michael [hXc] 05-17-2004, 04:19 PM I just think she's a really good friend, and it is no different than if it is a guy. Other girls think it's flirting because I refuse to tell them anything.

Then they're nosy. I think it's all right to tell somethings but when it gets to personal I hate it. Example: "Hey Hannah I was wondering, what's your bra size?"
Michael [hXc] 05-17-2004, 04:43 PM that's sort of perverted.

Yeah, I said "I'm not telling you. Why do you care?" he said "Well, you got the biggest hooters in the whole grade." I said "I wish that when you're refering to my breasts that you don't use the term 'hooters'." he said "Okay, okay I was just asking so I could compare yours with the other girls'." I said "well, I'm not telling you my bra size." then he had the nerve to ask "Oh, well then can I see them?" I screamed "PERVERT!" and hung up on him.
Michael [hXc] 05-18-2004, 06:53 AM who was this?
Michael [hXc] 05-18-2004, 07:36 AM And those other girls gave him their bra sizes? How else would he compare them? And what in hell's name gives him the right to ask girls their bra sizes?

They didn't tell him (except the ones who are obsessed with theirs:rolleyes: ) I guess he'd just guess. There are very few people who I would tell my bra size to if they asked (my mom, my doctor, my best GIRLfriend) I think that it's incredibly rude. My friend Shannon says that he probably asked because he wanted to go bra shopping because he's so much like a girl. I don't talk to him anymore.

"bra shopping", a boy? two thoughts: lol, and PERVERT!
Michael [hXc] 05-19-2004, 07:57 PM Today a girl came over to me at school and sat next to me with a laptop computer, and I got one too. We pretended to be typing up our work, but we were really talking about secret things, but the teacher never suspected that we weren't doing what we were supposed to.
LucyCompanyPhan 05-19-2004, 08:10 PM a guy i know asked me my bra size before. I told him. I don't think its a big deal, but i guess i felt comfortable with my body. I wouldn't want everyone to know it. and i trust my guy friend (even though he is a sick-o) but i wouldn't tell some random guy who walked up to me. the only people who i really talk about boobs with are my close girl friends. there are no secrets there. a bra size is very personal. i don't think its a huge deal because its like, just a size like your pants , but it is very personal. we're not asking guys questions about ____. lol
Michael [hXc] 05-19-2004, 08:22 PM and that girl who was talking to me asked me for "flirting advice" and made me do role play as if I was flirting.
