The soldiers who were stationed on GI during WW2 had as specimens, throgh a shipping mixup several gorrillas, wild boars and mice many of which escaped their captivity. Non of which were native to the island. One ape saw the soldiers doing target practice and thought that's how man played. As the island is very large Wrongway was on a different part of it while this was going on. The newspaper and the parrot and the jewel crackers in the cave were all left by a wiseguy serviceman trying to play a joke on his fellow serviceman. The art robbery never took place. Gus, Louie and the other art thieves never existed. The newspaper was from a novelty shop. The reason the island's volcanoe cannot usually be seen is that a cloudy mist often hangs over part of the island. The serviceman realized this and abandoned the island realizing it was way too big to take over by the small force they had. Besides the volcanoe made it dangerous even if no Japanese showed.

Joey Green, in his rather disjointed GI book, tried to tie up a couple of loose ends between pointing out where Ginger coulda got her cryastal ball and deck of cards seen in the seance ep(he claimed she could've got them from the magic crate that washed up onshore in a b+w ep).
