Today at school I was in a really bad mood and my friend Rachel asks me why I'm so upset and my friend Zach said "It's probably that time of the month, rachel, just leave her alone." Why do guys assume that just because a girl's in a bad mood that she's on her period?

It's that way around here too. One of my friends is upset because the boy she likes doesn't even care about her. They liked each other in second grade and now they met again but she's upset because he doesn't care about her or even remember her. She's been in a bad mood lately, but I don't think it is anything. Why have you been upset lately?

I've been upset about alot of stuff, mainly school and all the pressure.

Because it's something they can bust our balls about because they don't have to go through it.

haha. i can tell when my friend (actually my ex-friend.. i hate her but shes trying to be my friend again because she feels sorry for me after she found out how much she's hurt me and my social life, but frankly i dont give a **** and she can go to hell for all i care) is on her period cause she acts so damn cranky at the same time every month. about a year ago she said i was "gay" and that i copy everyone. im not gonna go into detail but to make a long story short she has deliberately copied people and i haven't. and her reasoning was pretty ****ty too.

Women are AWFULLY annoying at times. Forget that, they are annoying a LOT.

Wow, I feel like I'm in the episode of "Designing Women" where they're locked up in the cabin 'cuz of snow.

(If you don't know this episode, sorry.)

It's not just guys who assume this. My Mom does this too. If I'm cranky it's always "Do you have your period or something?" It really bugs me. I mean heavens forbid I have reagular, ordinary, non-period related bad mood once in a while.

Because guys are ignorant and don't feel like digging too far into a woman's personality to find a real reason.

now if I am in a bad mood, and someone asks why, I'm going to say that its just my time of the month.

if all guys started doing this, would it help dispel this problem, or make it worse?

Hey Colonel Juke "N" Jive, is that a cheesy old Mario Bros. show in your avatar?

People ask me that too but that time of the month has nothing to do with what kind of mood I'm in. It really doesn't affect my mood at all.

If a girl is in a bad mood she has to have some kind of reason. Someone or something put her in that mood but it doesn't neccissarily mean she's on her period. There's been plenty of times when I've been on my period and I've been in a great mood. That time of the month doesn't affect every woman the same.

I wanna say it's from the SMB movie (it REALLY bombed, by the way), because I don't recognize the background behind them too well.

Oh, by the way, you're thinking of the SMB cartoon that was on in 1989 and 1990. I remember that cartoon really well - before they started the cartoon, they would have live-action Mario and Luigi in a cartoon house, and they did the same after the cartoon ended.

Why do guys assume it? Because they are dumb, that's why.
