I'm very excited about the news. I've visited Universalstudios .com but can't find any information on the DVD. I hope this isn't a cruel rumour : ) If not, is there a link so I can read the article myself.

This is very real. I am Butch Patrick's Business Manager. I spoke with the VP of PR at Universal Home Entertainment to confirm.
The Press Release came out on the SCIFI.com newswire. I am the editor for the tvtome page for Butch. Here is a link. You will find a link to the press release as well. Link to tvtome (http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/PersonDetail/personid-3692/)
Thanks so much,

Do you happen to know if they will have the complete and un-cut version of The Munsters Color Presentation (Pilot)? That was the one with Joan Marshall as Phoebe (not Lily) and Happy Derman as Eddie.

Here's what the Press Release says:
The DVD set will carry a suggested retail price of $59.98 and includes the previously unaired pilot episode, plus all 38 episodes from show's first season.
Butch tells me that there were 39 total. We do not know which one is missing. I have contacted Universal Home Entertainment about including an interview with Butch. There is nothing on the production schedule. It would appear that Universal has no plans for any extras. This issue has been all over the net regarding Night Gallery which will be coming out on the same day.
Thanks,
Bonnie Vent

I remember that there was a B&W pilot called "My Fair Munster", which was later turned into episode #2 of the series. So I guess that if we want the color presentation (pilot), we'll have to buy it from somewhere or something else.
All looks good. Thanks for the information.
