Do any of you remember these closing logos at the end of
certain shows:
Paramount Television
Warner Brothers Television
Columbia Pictures Television
20th Century Fox Television
Universal Television

Have you watched any shows with these closing Logos?

Yeah, I like the Sony Pictures Ending the best.

My favorite closing logos are the old Screen Gems logo and Eva Gabor saying "This has been a Filmways presentation, Dawling" at the end of Green Acres. I also like the Rankin Bass end logo they used to show at the end of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. Childhood memories.

I like Paramount's (when they play the tune with the mountain seen) and Sony Pictures Television (Columbia's) the best. But sometimes Paramount's is just silent and that isn't as good.

Is it Paramount's Blue Mountain logo(1975-87)?

Is it Paramount's Blue Mountain logo(1975-87)?

It is whatever logo followed all the episodes of Family Ties and Cheers in the 80s. It is also on the modern Paramount shows too like 7th Heaven.

The Blue Mountain was on Family Ties and Cheers from 1982-87,
the logo you are probably thinking about is the logo based on
their current computer-animated movie logo. This logo has been
plastered on nearly all of the Paramount TV library due to the
editing habits of Paramount's current owner, Viacom.

Thanks for the info. Kind of like the way Columbia-TriStar Television mysteriously became "Sony Pictures Television" on shows that were way before the name change took place.

I love my favorite closing logo is the Dualstar logo.

I liked Sony the music was cool.

In addition to the Olsens' closing logo, Dualstar, I know any of the old and new closing logos for TV shows and specials. Here they are:

1. Motown Productions - This used to be my favorite closing logo used at the end of "The Jackson 5ive" and other shows and specials.
2. Lorimar/Telepictures
3. Lorimar
4. Screen Gems
5. Revue/Universal TV
6. CBS-TV
7. Rankin/Bass - My all-time favorite closing logo at the end of all holiday specials.
8. UBU - Used at the end of "Family Ties".
9. Fremantle Media
10. Walt Disney TV
11. #### Clark Productions

The most scariest closing logos ever are MGM-TV and Mary Tyler Moore Productions (MTM). Both logos scares me to death.

The only one that does not have a closing logo is "Carol Burnett & Friends".

do the TV Land reruns of Family Ties use UBU? I need to pay attention next time I catch an episode

I remember Diff'rent Strokes and Facts Of Life (among others) used to have a blue "Metromedia" logo at the end, but when they went to N@N, they used a typical Columbia/Tri-Star logo.

not a sitcom, but the "grrrr-argh" logo at the end of Buffy The Vampire Slayer stood out

Don't forget Branniff with South Park. Apparently that was a plane company that went under about 20 years ago, and the SP guys created a production company with that name and were given permission to use a 1970's commercial for the plane, so they use that at the end of each episode.

Actually, the blue logo at the end was Embassy Television, one
of Norman Lear's production companies. At the time, it was owned
by the Coca-Cola Company along with Columbia Pictures
Television. Columbia later broke off from the Coca-Cola Company
and absorbed all production companies under Coca-Cola into the
new Columbia Pictures Entertainment. After Columbia and Tri-Star
were bought out by Sony, all shows then produced by Columbia
and Tri-Star switched to the joint Columbia/Tri-Star "boxes" logo.

This logo was later plastered onto all shows from the Columbia
and Screen Gems television libraries, replacing their original logos,
but with the new Sony Pictures Television logo, original logos
on most of these shows are being restored and precede the SPT
logo.

The Desilu Logo is my favorite

Even before it was Columbia-TriStar, it was Columbia Pictures Television.
